To catch shredder, you need to have atleast a carbon rod. There are three locations where the shredder can spawn, you will find those daily locations on this channel. Once you get to that location, you can just throw the reel and wait patiently. You can use the monster bait if you want to, because it will increase your chances to catch it tremendously
Check out for a huge pile of bubble forming, they indicate the shredder is at that location. When you cast your reel there, Coco is going to give you hints. If he says something like 'we are finally wating patiently' or something like that, it means that you will have the chance to reel the shredder on that try

You would have to have really good concentration though, shredder only attaches to the reel for a fraction of a second.
