9/5/2024 Update: Huge Cloth Farm NERFED! The popular 2x4 cloth farming spot (the seige) was nerfed shortly after this video was posted lol. This is the main reason why bolt prices have exploded (8g to 35g+ on NA). Keep an eye on it, farmers will find new cloth farming spots soon and margins can return. I can only speak for the NA markets, but people have reset bolts and shards have crashed in price a bit. However, keep checking back. People will get bored of the shuffle and move onto other things, prices shift and you never know when a great deal comes along. Hey I noticed that you're updating the sheet with a section for disenchanting blacksmithing hammers. Just in case this is of interest to you, there's actually another green shuffle going around through tailoring. You're probably already aware, but just in case not, it's about using tailoring to make the green profession tools - enchanter's hat, chef's hat, gardening cap, etc. The base cost is 3 mosswool thread, 3 storm dust and 2 weavercloth bolts (2 bolts and 1 storm dust for the exquisite bolt, then 2 more storm dust for crafting the green equipment) but since you can get up to 6 dust when disenchanting, and the cost of 3 storm dust + 2 bolts is usually less than the cost of 10 bismuth. It actually balances pretty nicely and usually results in a little more profit, just in case you wanted to add that into your sheet.

Hey Penguin :) First of all: Thanks for your awesome work. We are alot that appreciates, what you do for us :) I have a few questions for you, if you dont mind? 1. About your spreadsheet: I've noticed you have 3 categories to the right, under the enchanting tab. One that says 88 (80+8), one that says 115 (97+18) etc. What does this mean? I dont see those numbers in any of the codes for your spreadsheet? And what do I need to know about these numbers? I mean, why they are there ? 2. About Craftsim: How do I get Craftsim tracker, to calculate my disenchanting? I dont notice it picking anything up in the crafting result window, and therefor its kinda hard to see if it was actually a profit or not? 3. Is there a way for your spreadsheet to calculate resoursefulness while crafting gloves in tailoring? Cuzz I dont think it is right now? 4. Will I get more materials if i disenchant an item with itemlevel 528 over an item with itemlevel 558? Both blue gloves from tailoring 5. About TSM: Is there a way to get TSM destroy to disenchant directly from Bank or Warbank bank? Or do the items have to be in my own inventory to do it? Im asking since it IS possible to disenchant an item manually, if its in the bank or warbank bank :) Sorry for all the questions, but hope you can help me out :) Thanks in advance ! Kind regards Colosseus
1. Those are different Enchanting Skill levels. I talk about it more in this video when I go over the spreadsheet 2. There is no calculated profit for Disenchanting. It all comes down to averages since you dont know what quality you are going to get for each individual disenchantment. 3. The spreadsheet does not calculate resourcefulness. If you have resourcefulness, that is just more profit going into your pockets. 4. Quality of the item you disenchant doesnt matter. Quality 3 vs 4 vs 1 all give the same rates. 5. Never tried using a macro or tsm destroy in a bank but even if you can, I wouldnt recommend. The extra trip to the bank isnt worth the time.
TSM destroy will only take what's in your bag, it's just a glorified /cast disenchant macro. The best way to use TSM is to create mailing groups and craft at a mailbox with the auto send groups feature (in the case of cuffs) or use send groups feature to mail items after crafting them at benches, then you can either open the mail on your disenchanter or have it returned to you by your other character using 'return to sender' in the mailbox.
I put my knowledge points in DEing greens thinking my tailoring cuffs were greens but they not 😢 hahahaha but I've been farming chitin for that mount in follower dungeons and already have my Tailor maxed for cloth drops so just doing the chitin farm got me like 1000+ cloth with like 250+ r3s. So my first run of this strat will be straight profit.
There’s also a dust shuffle you can do however it requires a pretty skilled blacksmith. Might be something worth looking at tho if you are interested in shuffling. Congrats on the Tailoring Build, good luck!
@@jayryan1956you need a lot of points into the consumable tree and as many as you can in the alloy tree as well, it's a pretty big upfront investment but it's working for me since I have a friend doing the disenchanted and we split the profit
Penguin, how do you go about knowing what mats to expect from disenchanting a certain rarity? Is it just trial and error on your part? Is there a resource you use?
It’s just data collection from other’s experiences. I personally did the disenchanting for the skill 88 stats. A few members of the discord shared their results for the other levels which I just combined into one sheet
Any tips on crafting and maxing the bags with this shuffle? I remember a similar one in the previous expansion where you sat next to the mail and just mail with TSM every minute but that doesn't seem doable now since you need the crafters work table.
For this shuffle specifically, you are kinda stuck at your crafting bench :/. If you are interested in doing the blacksmithing to dust shuffle (more info is on spreadsheet, same concept just with blacksmithing and green dust instead of tailoring and shards), you can pick up the Alvin the Anvil battle pet. He counts as an Anvil so you can afk at the mailbox and auto send the hammers to your disenchanter!
I bought 500k worth of bolts at 6g each to do this. Ended up dumping it back on the AH when the price of cloth spiked lol. Ill come back to this when prices go back to normal
nice guide, by the time I leveled enchant and tailoring and after spending 120k gold doing so, the weavercloth bolt is now selling for 24g and the spreadsheet says Profit -$22,054.91
@@ryankings6755 1 day later and now it's -55k profit, those bolts are selling for 44g rn, I made 70k gold in 1 hour farming cloth and selling the mats myself lol
please I need help. Is professional equipment relevant to disenchantment? And what would be the best rod enchantment for disenchantment? I still don't really understand the profession's stats. ty
But this is semi afk, so you could be doing other things while shuffling (pop out box with netflix etc). That's the key here for me personally. That said, the market on EU has already crashed and unless you get extremely lucky/max on everything, it isn't really worth it from that point of view sadly.
Thank you for your efforts with the info and spreadsheet. my question, when i change my enchanting level on your spreadsheet non of the numbers change. any suggestions?
The levels are not dynamic, you can only modify price and number of crafts. The different levels are just to give you an estimate depending on your current level
@Penguinr2gt do you know if it's possible to create a macro to craft with tailoring? Wowhead has this, but I will admit. I don't really understand it. __descriptive_icon__ /cast __profession_name__ /run for i=1,GetNumTradeSkills() do if GetTradeSkillInfo(i)=="__trade_skill_name__" then CloseTradeSkill() DoTradeSkill(i) break end end
Doesn’t really matter after that for shuffling. I’d probably put points into bolts/unravelling crafting. (Weaving node and quality fabric). Won’t help you with cuffs but if you keep up with your tailoring, have those 2 specs + resourcefulness spec + the unravelling tailoring bag is a great second shuffle to start doing
If I was to optimize this on an alt, what blue profession tools would give the best outcome? Tailoring with resourcefulness or enchanting for the skill bonus? Not quite sure.
wow Penguiin I feel like this video was made specially for me! Haha. I literally just got my 60th point in enchanting and was buying blues from the AH for 20-30g and making money that way, but this is much easier!
do the rank percentages for the shards look like a linear increase based on skill level? if so it would be relatively easy to edit your spreadsheet to include skill level to adjust your profit
i maxed my clother to pick up nice cloth but yes good stuff i got 2 toons for ENCH atm kp both of em 90 one fully on DE and other fully on makeing ENCH's let me tell you this is great money take full of it before those crystals become cheaper than dirt also both crafting speed pots still work atm

You use the tabs to change to different spreadsheets. If your view doesn’t have any controls, Remove the html sharing part of the URL. When too many people view it at once, Google reroutes people to that view
@@NetherdragonsBlindReactions It's crazy how many people still think AH is server based. This person's comment would do nothing and is not worth wasting time on.

Yeah, all these RUclips gold makers abuse the method for a day or two before they release a video. Not saying they're wrong for doing it, but you're 100% right
Somehow im gettly vastly different results than what the sheet suggests. Im Sitting at 110 enchanting with equipment and my gleaming shard output is more 40/40/20% with R1/R2/R3 as opposed to the suggested 20/20/60%-ish. I got the same enchanting spec as you.. Any ideas?
@@christianbrinkley8929 I dont think there is any perception in Enchanting, no? One reddit post also states that disenchanting isnt affected by any profession stat.
You are right, profession stats (outside of skill) do not affect disenchanting. What was your sample size? At the end of the day, you are dealing with averages
The go-to storm dust shuffle is Blacksmithing Hammers because it only costs 1 alloy each. It’s slightly more complicated compared to this one because to be really profitable you want multicraft and resourcefulness specced out on your Blacksmith, but it’s a great shuffle as well (and sometimes more profitable)
This is no longer profitable. Weavercloth Bolt prices have almost quadrupled, and Gleaming Shard prices have plummeted >50% of their value since the start of yesterday. Rough estimate here, but 3000 bolts turned into 353 R3 Gleaming Shards. Cost to buy 3000 Weavercloth Bolts is >43k and the cost to sell T3 Gleaming Shards
I've been doing the bismuth into dust shuffle with BS and even with 20% resourcefulness, if did proc like 6-7% of my 500 hammer crafts. Does anyone know how that number actually works?
Items that only have 1 reagent (in this example 1 alloy to make the hammer) have less resourcefulness proccing. I’m not sure the actual math behind it but that’s the trend between items with a single reagent
I tried it with a sample size of 750 crafts, and I saw some errors in the whole process : 1. I had about 88 skill enchanting total, and I gotta say, the % spread of R1 R2 and R3 is pretty accurate. So there's that! 2. I've tried it only once, but the prices live were definatly lower than what's showcased in your video, dropping the whole profit down (of course). I doubt it will be viable in the futue 3. The time estimation is really idealist at best. Doing 750 crafts with disenchant took me about an hour. According the the calculation in the Excel, disenchanting takes 1.5 seconds. I've ran a macro to automate auto clicking, and the macro was set to tick at every 2.5 secs, and it missed the target about 10% of the time, so its more likely 2.6ish With R1 R2 and R3 prices of 4.08, 8,08 and 159,99 (NA live servers on Sept 4, to be confirmed if the price is always so low). I've managed to do something like 10k an hour. It isint bad, but still nowhere close of 40k. Good method though, maybe if prices rise, it will be a real 40k an hour. Mostly automated too, straight foward, pretty good and free while watching a movie :) You gained a sub!
Yep the storm dust shuffle is a great one - requires a bit more effort on the blacksmithing side as you really want multicraft/resourcefulness, but if you can set it up it’s really nice! NA bolts basically doubled in price shortly after this video was published, definitely cuts away at profit, but always check back, you never know when you’ll find a good deal! Auto clickers are against WoW’s TOS, your account will get flagged and then banned if you use one.
Bolts are regional items, meaning it’s the same across all servers for the region. Right after this video came out, cloth farms were heavily nerfed which caused cloth to go up. Then the gleaming shard shatter got hotfixed in this week which made prices go up even more. Despite this, the shuffle is still very very very profitable due to gleaming shards also increasing
I don't know what to do I've been doing this already a lot before this video came out even but I'm worried I'm going to break my keyboard or something spamming the same key hundreds of thousands of times for the disenchant step of it. I've already moved my DE macro to different keys several times. How is it possible that in 2024 there is still no better way to mass DE in this game? Someone please tell me there is and I just don't know about it.
The market on EU is completely down ever since they fixed the AH. R1 shards 5.5g; R2 shards 8.5g and R3 about 96g Not really worth doing the shuffle anymore. U would be way better of just gathering. Since disenchanting is so involved anyway...
Yeah, i followed this guide, leveled up my enchanting knowledge and everything, and once i started doing it I noticed it was just a huge waste of time lmao, rip
@@slashroar Jep... also just lost about 80k on this leveling up enchanting just to realize that already SO MANY people are doing it. the price of the bolts also SKYROCKETED in the last hours up to 13.5g making it even worse
seems only profitable if you have 90+ points in enchanting skill purple rods and everything else.. I'm only at 70 with 30 30 green 30 blue disenchant I'm only getting like 1-2 every 10 disenchant in r3.. mostly just r2 and r1 that sells for 7-8g on my server.
this video literally destroy the shuffle i was doing it at the moment of the publication it took 20 mins after the video (around 4k views) to double the price of bolts. These youtubers can't keep anything to themselves lol
as comparison current with EU prices (2000 bolts as in the video): 88 skill: 20,4k / 115 skill : 26,2 / 76 skill: 16,5k´ thats very little. except this when u 99% of time afk and your items also get bought quiet fast.. then its maybe interesting when you have a spare alt for this thing (remember you need to skill up and buy tools and also need to invest in the bolts first this could be quiet expensiv in total!)

Both blue gloves from tailoring
5. About TSM: Is there a way to get TSM destroy to disenchant directly from Bank or Warbank bank? Or do the items have to be in my own inventory to do it? Im asking since it IS possible to disenchant an item manually, if its in the bank or warbank bank :)
Sorry for all the questions, but hope you can help me out :) Thanks in advance !
Kind regards
Colosseus
1. Those are different Enchanting Skill levels. I talk about it more in this video when I go over the spreadsheet
The best way to use TSM is to create mailing groups and craft at a mailbox with the auto send groups feature (in the case of cuffs) or use send groups feature to mail items after crafting them at benches, then you can either open the mail on your disenchanter or have it returned to you by your other character using 'return to sender' in the mailbox.
thank you! keep it up!
@Penguinr2gt bs is the first proff I maxed but for personal use so I'm speced for r5 long swords.
@@Penguinr2gt is that the hammer shuffle? is that still viable? seems a lot of those videos out lately as well
@@jayryan1956you need a lot of points into the consumable tree and as many as you can in the alloy tree as well, it's a pretty big upfront investment but it's working for me since I have a friend doing the disenchanted and we split the profit
@@Penguinr2gt no need to have a pretty skilled blacksmith, mine is around skill lvl 40 and 50-60 KP (?) to max out the Flame Buff
Rank 1 Gleaming Shards are 5g on my server/region.
Buy them all and flip it, 5g is joke which region is this?
@@janostimar4159 this post was way before Blizz added Gleaming Shatter to the game.
Amazing flip!!! Haha
nice guide, by the time I leveled enchant and tailoring and after spending 120k gold doing so, the weavercloth bolt is now selling for 24g and the spreadsheet says Profit -$22,054.91
did you not consider putting the prices on your server in before hand, to see if it was profitable...
@ryankings6755 yes it was 40k profit like in the video 😂😂
@@ryankings6755 1 day later and now it's -55k profit, those bolts are selling for 44g rn, I made 70k gold in 1 hour farming cloth and selling the mats myself lol
please I need help. Is professional equipment relevant to disenchantment? And what would be the best rod enchantment for disenchantment? I still don't really understand the profession's stats. ty
Secondary stats don’t affect disenchanting. You just want tools for the skill increase
@@Penguinr2gt ty, amazing guide 💙
Going to keep that as a secret for now 😅 but I love your video❤
Anything particularly profitable we can do with the lower rank gleaming shards when the market has an excess of them?
Hi quick question: When disenchanting the BS hammer, does a higher rank hammer yield more high rank dust or does it not matter at all? Cheers! :)
The rank of the item you are disenchanting doesnt matter!
You are AMAZING! tyvm :)
Thanks so much for watching!
Looked at EU prices, gives a roughly 10k profit at your level. It's not terrible, but probably not worth the time investment (5-10k an hour)
@Penguinr2gt thank you for your reply
@Penguinr2gt do you know if it's possible to create a macro to craft with tailoring? Wowhead has this, but I will admit. I don't really understand it.
__descriptive_icon__
/cast __profession_name__
/run for i=1,GetNumTradeSkills() do if GetTradeSkillInfo(i)=="__trade_skill_name__" then CloseTradeSkill() DoTradeSkill(i) break end end
For a pure cuffs build. where do i put my kp after 30 in extra treads?? Thanks for awsome guides :) My disanchanter is ready to work :P
You would want both ideally
Another winning video containing great content. What is the website that shows the prices across all realms. You’re the best, thank you
Oribos exchange! Oops, now called Undermine Exchange!
@@Penguinr2gt thank you again. Have a fantastic day
Am I doing something wrong disenchanting because it takes me 3 seconds from press to press and that adds up to a lot more time than the chart
Still rolling and still working 😂 disenchanting 10k rn
Is there any value in using T3 cloth to make R5 bracers? Do they provide more disenchanted mats?
Quality of bracer doesn’t matter
wow Penguiin I feel like this video was made specially for me! Haha. I literally just got my 60th point in enchanting and was buying blues from the AH for 20-30g and making money that way, but this is much easier!
Great minds think alike haha! Good luck shuffling!
Is it still viable with current prices? bolt is 36 atm, should i invest on those prices or wait for something else??? @Penguinr2gt
Plug current prices into the spreadsheet and it’ll tell you!
I know is kind of old post, but have you tested what i the outcome when you vary the ilvl of the disenchanted blue item?
Ilvl of the disenchanted item doesnt matter
@@Penguinr2gt Ty for the response!!!
do the rank percentages for the shards look like a linear increase based on skill level? if so it would be relatively easy to edit your spreadsheet to include skill level to adjust your profit
Good question! I’ll have to dive into it more and let you know
How many knowledge points can you get by disenchanting per week?
9 weekly KPs but if you are picking up enchanting late, you’ll be able to get more through the catch up system
@@Penguinr2gt Ohh I see, thank you.
Iam Here Just to Like and watch :) and leave a Like.
Thanks so much!
Im spending 250k+ per 1600-2k bolts at 125g each and making 320k gold i started with 10kgold 2 days ago and im now at 460k
Awesome!
You forgot the 350 acuity quest, thats atleast 10 more knowledge points ^^
i maxed my clother to pick up nice cloth but yes good stuff i got 2 toons for ENCH atm kp both of em 90 one fully on DE and other fully on makeing ENCH's let me tell you this is great money take full of it before those crystals become cheaper than dirt also both crafting speed pots still work atm
also sorry for my poor grammar its late i drink and thats all to it anyways good luck out there everyone
Can confirm that it's not 5 mins to die at this expansion (saw one whote approx 10 min) wanted to check and let you guys know if it also died at my 10 min marker, but at 7 mins people came and killed it ^^,
Is there better odds of getting a tier 3 shard if you disenchant a tier 3 item?
No! Quality of the item you are disenchanting doesn’t matter
What auction addon are you using?
I use CraftSim/Auctionator for current content and TSM for everything else
isent just better just to farm cloth and then sell it? the prince range between Storm Dust and weaver cloth is almost the same
Use the spreadsheet to determine your profit to see if it’s worth doing
how do u get the kej book, found a vendor called venomscribe x1 but cant talk to her
Complete the campaign and reach renown 4 with "The Severed Threads", then you can buy profession books that give you 10 KP for 565 Kej
Do you have a TSM group collection that you can post?
Thanks
Is this method broken now that this video is public, or does it still work just with less profit?
Depends on your region's current prices. As of writing this comment on NA, you can spend 27.7k (2000 bolts) and expect 17k profit with high skill.
The spreadsheet link just goes to a wierd spreadsheet title screen and when i try to copy the link it just takes me back to the first page
You use the tabs to change to different spreadsheets. If your view doesn’t have any controls, Remove the html sharing part of the URL. When too many people view it at once, Google reroutes people to that view
why dont you add the bolt and thread to your data schedule to track resourcefulness as well?
A resourcefulness calc/addition is currently a work in progress
Price for weavercloth bolts is higher than shards on my server 🙃
@NetherdragonsBlindReactions I had no idea that warrants were cross realm!
AH is regional, prices do not differ for commodities between servers.
@@NetherdragonsBlindReactions It's crazy how many people still think AH is server based. This person's comment would do nothing and is not worth wasting time on.
does the quality of the des items impact the outcome of the desenchanting ?
No!
@@Penguinr2gt bought 800 weavercloth with 25% ressourcefullness in Tailoring ended up with 80 shard R3 ( enchant 100+18) which his lower than 20% if ressourcefullness is taken into account . Any Idea if they swtiched something ? Used to have like 27% ish % before today
How did you make that macro do auto disenchant stuff?
The Kej book may be only 2 ever, so be careful. Also how do you use Acuity to get KP?
The vendor inside the crafting order room sells 3 books (10kp each) for 200,300,400 acuity
@@Penguinr2gt Thanks much for the answer
Question, how much you make in your real job ?
I love her channel and I use her tips for profession guides, BUT, once she shows you a trick to make golds ( Dont do it, its already not worthy lol)
Yeah, all these RUclips gold makers abuse the method for a day or two before they release a video. Not saying they're wrong for doing it, but you're 100% right
@Penguinr2gt Hey, any addon or weakaura to fast DE items?
You’ll need to use a macro
Penguin, if you need an enchanting hat (tool) I think one of my characters can craft you one (:
Somehow im gettly vastly different results than what the sheet suggests. Im Sitting at 110 enchanting with equipment and my gleaming shard output is more 40/40/20% with R1/R2/R3 as opposed to the suggested 20/20/60%-ish. I got the same enchanting spec as you.. Any ideas?
Do you have the maxed out specializations?
It could be a perception difference as well.
@@Penguinr2gt yes, i have 30 points in Designated Disenchanter and Rare Resourcing :/
@@christianbrinkley8929 I dont think there is any perception in Enchanting, no? One reddit post also states that disenchanting isnt affected by any profession stat.
You are right, profession stats (outside of skill) do not affect disenchanting. What was your sample size? At the end of the day, you are dealing with averages
what green items should i shuffle for storm dust because i have specialisation maxed for it.
@@Penguinr2gt thank you penguin for fast reply!
Is there any way to speed up the disbchant prosses ?
I CANT MAKE MONEY OF THIS GUIDE I DID EVERYTHING
@@Penguinr2gt oof , might as well sell the raw alloys then. Thanks for the vid!
I tried it with a sample size of 750 crafts, and I saw some errors in the whole process :
1. I had about 88 skill enchanting total, and I gotta say, the % spread of R1 R2 and R3 is pretty accurate. So there's that!
2. I've tried it only once, but the prices live were definatly lower than what's showcased in your video, dropping the whole profit down (of course). I doubt it will be viable in the futue
3. The time estimation is really idealist at best. Doing 750 crafts with disenchant took me about an hour. According the the calculation in the Excel, disenchanting takes 1.5 seconds. I've ran a macro to automate auto clicking, and the macro was set to tick at every 2.5 secs, and it missed the target about 10% of the time, so its more likely 2.6ish
With R1 R2 and R3 prices of 4.08, 8,08 and 159,99 (NA live servers on Sept 4, to be confirmed if the price is always so low). I've managed to do something like 10k an hour. It isint bad, but still nowhere close of 40k. Good method though, maybe if prices rise, it will be a real 40k an hour. Mostly automated too, straight foward, pretty good and free while watching a movie :) You gained a sub!
doing this with bismuth, core alloy, hammer and storm dust, nets you way more in the same time. storm dust on EU is 205 for R3 85 for R2/1
Wait bolts on your server are only 8g43s? If they were that cheap on my server I'd be making 300k from this. they are 122g on my server.
@@Penguinr2gt Ahh I see, thank you.
Someone please tell me there is and I just don't know about it.
haha there is no way to mass disenchant. Macros/Auto-clickers are also against tos and can get you banned
Anyway of getting cheap dust? the cuffs don't seem to give dust
Blacksmithing hammers (the profession tool) are the go-to item for dust
The market on EU is completely down ever since they fixed the AH. R1 shards 5.5g; R2 shards 8.5g and R3 about 96g
Not really worth doing the shuffle anymore.
The boots seem to drop more r3 shards or am I tripping? the price is not that higher just 1 mosswol more than the wrist.
can anyone confirm this data?
Nvm im tripping
weavercloth bolts already doubled in price and shards are crashing atm
this video literally destroy the shuffle i was doing it at the moment of the publication it took 20 mins after the video (around 4k views) to double the price of bolts. These youtubers can't keep anything to themselves lol
Just choose random enchant and craft it with concentration for few K gold a week in 1 minute. This looks very miserable to do
What macro did u use to disenchante
/use Disenchant
/use [name of item]
as comparison current with EU prices (2000 bolts as in the video):
88 skill: 20,4k / 115 skill : 26,2 / 76 skill: 16,5k´
thats very little. except this when u 99% of time afk and your items also get bought quiet fast.. then its maybe interesting when you have a spare alt for this thing (remember you need to skill up and buy tools and also need to invest in the bolts first this could be quiet expensiv in total!)
Yea, EU prices have crashed a bit :/ if you are looking for a semi-passive way of making gold, it’s definitely can be a bit of a relaxing flip!
Shards already down to 5g on my server. Drat.
