    what i do is 1 have 3 pairs. the daughters of first pair i put in the 2nd pair rotation. the same the the daughter of the 2nd pair to the 3rd. the 3rd to the first. everybatch i do it. nobody told me how to do it. it my personal mating. their sons i put it in their own cells together with their parents. when i transfer their sisters when grown maybe around 2 months, i also get them but instead putting then together with their siblings i instead put them in the cord area. im a naked heel cock breeder btw. I breed our local "Jolo" breed from western visayas Philippines some are crossed with shamo and aseel. what happens is i avoid inbreeding. a pullet will be pair together with his ancestor cock after 2 generation i think so she would be the daughter of the daughter of the daughter of the same cock he would be paired with. so they would be so distant relative already. Not all but i almost combined all my 6 primary broods together except for the hatches of the 1st hens but those who are the 3rd generations are the most mixed blood. Example if i have cell A pair of "Jolo". cell B pair of Shamos. Cell C pair of aseels. the 3rd Gen from Cell A would be upod reach its 3rd gen from the cell C would be a 1/2 Aseel. 1/4 Shamo and 1/4 Jolo. upod reaching the Cell A when breesding its hatches would become 5/8 Jolo 1/8 shamo and 1/4 aseel. just like that. you can do it on same breeds too. but just be sure all the cocks are nonrelated. Hens are ok to be related because it will not affect the breeding since their is only 1 cock in every cell and the 1st Hen together with everygeneration of Hens hatch from a different mother from different cell. Also instead of making a Rotation of pullets you can instead transfer everycocks but upon reaching the 3rd transfer he would be back to the same cell where he has her own pullets so you should cull the cock and replace it with a new cock outside from your own breeds which is i dont recommend so i still prefer transferring the pullets. i hope you understand my breeding process and i hope you like it. Just call it the JoBu Breeding named after my Backyard Farm

    I'd like to breed Brahma with Cochins to get more leg feathering but keep same color pattern, any advice?

    • @ChickenWired
      @ChickenWired  4 года назад

      select the birds with the best leg feathering every generation. preference given to those with feathers down their middle toe. One of the Best Brahma breeders I know of is Mark Peterson. He is on facebook and can give you more in depth knowledge than I can. I had large Cochins for several years but that was a long time ago.

    You mentioned requests.
    My requests are
    How to remove ressessive genes?
    How to bring out resessive genes?
    I have blue laced chickens
    How do i remove red, bronzing, spangled and feather stubs but keep better bbs colours, health vigour and fertility.
    How do i bring out and breed for spangled and possibly furnace?
    2 chicks had feather stubs i test mated all f1 pullets to f1 male with stubs and got mostly feather stubed chicks and about half had split to mottled head down. So think my pullets from one of the breeders all have the stubs gene. And know they have spangled in there.
    The other breeders rooster, dad to all, i think is were the red is comming from.

      Excellent questions! What breed are you working with that has so many color options?

      @@ChickenWired Orpingtons. There supposed to be BBS.
      Think there might be some lavenda in there to.
      The red is in his hekle feathers and are iridesant. The splash male f1s have a lot of bronze. I love how the red and bronze glistens in the sun. But dont want it in my Bbs. But was wondering if furnice is hiding in there.
      The spangled has come from a very respected breeder so asume it would be butiful if isolated but we dont have a standard for eithe in Australia for Orpingtons.
      The bronzing seams to have a tan colour and pure black in the hekle and saddle aswell so not sure if original pekin spangled is tri colour. I only saw her spangled feathered chicks a couple of years ago. And they was white with black and tan from memory.

    I have fancy aseel breed ( parrot beak long tail breed) .I like to increase the height of my breeds. can you give any tips for increasing of the breeds.

    • @ChickenWired
      @ChickenWired  2 года назад

      it will be a slow process if you don't want to add another related breed. basically, pick the longest legged birds each generation and breed together. at first it may seem like you are only making small improvement, but as long as they improve that is the important thing.

    I have a rooster, that I really want offspring from. I looked, but did not see a video about artificial insimonation. I know this rooster has mated the hens. But not one egg of 34,was fertile. He was bonded with a duck for a while, till I finally broke them. So I wonder if he simply isn’t missing his mark. I would attempt AI if I knew how. Any advice, much appreciated

      @@wordswritteninred7171 Ok, so he is a bigger, fluffier bird. I assume the hens you are breeding him to are similar. What I'd recommend is if you haven't already take a pair of scissors and trim all the feathers around the vent on him and your hens. Sometimes on breeds like this the feathers get in the way. If he has large spurs it would be advisable to trim them as well. You may not need to a.i. if you do these two things.

      @@ChickenWired THANK YOU!!! He is not real fluffy. Actually kinda smooth. Not really anything to look at.lol poor fella. But, a few of the hens are. And it sure can’t hurt to try! Never crossed my mind! I truly believe he is missing his mark. So fingers crossed. I can’t thank you enough! I am not breeding for show. But rather for personal meat birds, so I don’t have to continue buying each year. God bless thank you for your time!

      Chicken Wired I got some stags from a friend that are million dollar blue and white kelso crosses some are red white blue pattern kinda like pyles And some took the million dollar dark blue pattern how can I get more of the white and red pattern what should I cross to one of the red and white blue pattern to get more of them maybe to one of my white kelso hens?

    • @ChickenWired
      @ChickenWired  5 лет назад +1

      Tell you what, email me some pics at chicken.wired.tv@gmail. I'll need pics of the white kelsos pure, the blues pure, and the crosses to be better able to tell you how to make more of that pattern. I basically need to evaluate what base pattern the blues are on and whether the kelsos are a dominant or recessive white.
