ADHD meds are overprescribed because moms and teachers demand them, but no one is prescribing opioids to kids. Most MD's wont' accept patients in their practice if they are opioid seekers.

Thank all the leaders of all parties, doctors, and healthcare professionals who flooded our healthcare system with opioids. Then dramatically controlled, putting restrictions in place without treatment for dependency after years of over prescribing to mask patients pain, instead of investigating the cause of patients pain. Over the past 40-50 years for not keeping pace with the risk involved with these highly addictive medications. Pandering to the corporate greed from drug producing corporations.
Not all issues in Canada can be blamed on the most recent political leader, this issue has been decades in the making.
