Highway mileage 14 is less. May be due to run in period or due to throttle controller. As i understand throttle controller can give additional input which we can also press the accelerator without having the device.

The lag in sending the signal from accelerator to Ecu is reduced by the throttle controller, which inturn improves the overall throttle response of the vehicle. You should drive it to understand.
