I used to travel on this train when I was young, that too in sleeper class. Just imagine if this is the situation in 2nd AC; then, what would the sleeper class be like? I remember my grandfather telling me it's not the Manananda Express; it's the Mahaganda Express.

Thanks for showing the reality of Indian railways, food quality in the train as well as from the online vendors. Except rajdhani, vande Bharat and shatabdi trains.. all other trains have mostly such conditions even in AC coaches. I hope Indian railways take notice of this.

Mahananda is the Mahaganda train that we used to call in our childhood. We always try not to book tickets on this train. Train with worst records in Indian Railways.

Sikkim Mahananda is the slowest train. The whole journey usually lasts 38-40 hours if you add the delay time. This train stops anywhere giving pass to Rajdhani. I once took this train to new jalpaiguri junction and our 32 hour journey ended up like a 40-42 hour stretch. Avoid These two trains Brahmputra Mail and Mahananda. North East Express from Anand Vihar is way faster 😅😑

The cleanliness of trains is determined by the staff. Many trains in Indian Railways are quite clean.Not to mention, the first class is also very comfortable.
Abhi maine gyaneshwari express ki ac 1st class me kollata to nagpur aya...wahan AC cabin me rac walo log ko allow kar diya...hamare 2 seat chorke baki 2 seat me 4 log aye.. 1 to floor pe bhi let gaya. kaafi bad experience raha. Each tkt 3500 charge karte hain lekin servic worst hain..maine kasam liya ki aage se kabhi bhi indan railway me travel nahi karna

The situation of Indian Railways is very bad and is also detoriating more day by day from all aspects like punctuality, cleanliness, food quality, lighting and air conditioners, the conditions of the washrooms are even worse, some have broken taps, then hand showers are also broken. The prices have also increased a lot. Now its better to go in flights rather than using the trains.
