    Good golly - I had a huge smile because of the performance and pricing (relative to the AR630). However, it turned upside down very quickly once the amperage was shared. Thanks for the great review as always. Conclusion. This thing sucks. MOST people only have 15amp and no one wants a louder pressure washer. Maybe amps are measured different in AU but to be that far off what's advertised seems sketchy. I think initial sales will be good because of hype but they will see a high return rate. Thanks for Saving me $450. I'll stick with my Active 2.0.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад +2

      I’ll let you know if you don’t like that noise then the 2.3 might not be for you either. The 2.0 is a much higher pitched sound though. I prefer these industrial sounds over the scream. They reached out and said they packed the wrong foam cannon in the duo box which is why it was so high. They said it was just over 15 amp at the factory, but over time it drops below 15amp, but to me initial ramp up is when that breaker is going to pop. They are going to adjust to make sure it’s under 15 amp. I bet just an adjustment to the pressure regulator.

    I had a chance to try out my duo today. Using the stock 4.0 nozzle it did start out at about 16.5 amps. I turned the pressure regulator down just a little and got it to around 14 amps. After about 15 minutes I turned the regulator back to max. To my surprise it was running about 14.2 amps and stayed at that. Now when I hooked up the foam cannon it was well over 17 amps so they are going to have to do something about that. Db level was around 90db. Overall it seems to be a very solid machine.

    After trying multiple setups, to me gpm is way more important than psi, so I would go with 5.0 nozzle all day at 570psi over the 4.0 or 4.5

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад +1

      GPM is more important to me as well, but for my liking I don't like to drop below 750 and all depends on how much of a difference it is. It was only a .02 improvement from the 4.5 to the 5.0 which I'm not sure is enough to warrant the lower PSI. Now if it was .1 difference for sure I would go that direction. This is the main reason I use 25 degree nozzles I can get back some of that panel impact you lose going down in PSI. There si no wrong way really its all preference.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@gorillanismo Depends on how much you use it and the noise. 2.3 is about as loud as the Duo, but it is a better sound. The pro is very quiet which for some might be the reason to go that direction. The 2.3 has just about everything else going for it IMO. Price isn’t that big of a deal since buying from active is free shipping and no taxes for people in the U.S. so by the time you pay taxes in the duo and shipping you are at the cost of a 2.3. Same goes for the pro you have to add $100 at least for taxes and shipping. I am unsure of the how much the Duo can be rebuilt.

    I will look forward to the active 2.3 though the 2.0 may be where I'll end up just for price point and performance.
    I knew it, was waiting to see the outakes. Forgot to empty the bucket. Lol I can see myself doing that same thing since you're testing it by weight and not needing to take off the lid, easy to miss the fact there's water in it.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад +1

      I had to get more accurate my early videos I was relying on the bucket marking which are quite a bit off and over exaggerating GPM. I will tell you the 2.3 is as loud as the duo, but it’s a better sound and less vibration. The 2.3 is significantly lighter as well.

    Uberflex makes a 3/8" and 1/4" hose. The surging you mentioned .. Was with 1/4" (assuming)? Did you try a 3/8" uberflex ... And get the same results?
    And, I am thinking the additional money for the Pro is worth it over the Duo, in the long run. The Pro runs more quiet, and should run cooler since it's not pulling the amps that showed up with the Duo. I would imagine the Pro should have a longer life .. Especially if bought by a homeowner.

      Pro for sure will have a way longer life. Have not tried the 3/8, but Active actually responded to a comment on another video that they do not recommend Uberflex due to it not being wire braided. They said the hoses that are very flexible the inner diameter expands and contracts more causing inconsistent flow and pressure for the pressure switch to work right. The wire braided ones keep the inner diameter more consistent. At least that what they say. 🤣

    Can someone plese help me?? So I have a 40 gallon water tank - seaflow 33 series pump - Ryobi 1800 psi pressure washer - hose reel. So the hose that is in-between the Seaflow pump and Ryobi 1800psi pressure washer keeps blowing holes in them. While I'm pulling the trigger its fine, but once I release the trigger you can see the hose keep expanding. I've blown a hole through a flexIlla 3ft hose and a very heavy duty braided PVC tubing. Im gonna try and use a pressure washer hose whip that can handle 6000psi ( like the one I have going from my pressure washer to hose reel). Any ideas?? 🤞.. I've adjusted the Seaflow pump so it is NOT pumping once I release the teigger, but that dam pressure just keep building up for a second or two. Also when I take the Ryobi outta my mobile setup and use it with my home spicket ( obviously no pump), I dont have any problems. That is with a real shitty home garden hose too! Thanks!!!!!!

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад +1

      I’m not an expert of these types of setups, but sounds like a back pressure issue from the Ryobi. I have heard of others having these types of issues. Most of them say that a vacuum breaker between the Pressure Washer and the pump will help. What seems to be happening is you have really good flow and when you stop spraying it has nowhere to go so it spike the pressure back to the source. Since the source is a pump it’s probably stopping the flow back to the tank. A vacuum breaker will release the extra pressure. This will leak water though to relieve. My places require one to stop debris and chemicals from getting back into the water supply.

      Rushed product ,and generic customer relations response. They should be publicly making a statement to all the people who bought these and getting upgrades and fixes. Seems sketchy or irresponsible company.
      They sold how many of these and now they found or rather got called out for going over the amps ?

      A very small number of Duo units were sent in this first shipment. I think a responsible move to ensure any unforeseen issues have minimal impact on consumers and the product, allowing Bigboi to respond quickly to any changes necessary and connect directly with those customers easily with updates and solutions. Testing in factories can produce different results to field testing in countries, and each region can produce different results from the same product, which is the case for the Duo, especially with the orifice of the foam cannon.
      Development of Bigboi products are never rushed and can take anywhere from 6-18 months from start to release with tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours going into each products development.
      Bigboi’s brand and product approach in North America is very concise, to ensure we offer the best possible products and service we can now and for many years to come. There will occasionally be bumps in the road, the Bigboi team aims to deal with these quickly and effectively.

    What’s you pick? Washr Pro or Washr Duo?

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад +1

      The duo would be my choice for a homeowner and the pro for a business. Myself since I’m all about the performance so I pick the Duo.

    How many hours is this one rated for?

      Usually 2 pole motors of this quality are good for 500 hours. There is a 2 year warranty of this unit.

    Wow impressive, but the amp draw 👀

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, it’s a bit much and they reached out to me and said they got those numbers at the factory, but the amp draw goes down over time, but I mean am I going to hold the trigger long enough to get that? Plus they said the pro foam cannon was packed in the duo box and it should have been a different orifice size.

      Thank you for sharing that information. People getting this for a 15 amp circuit aren’t going to be happy if the breaker continues to pop!

      @@pklemm1 They are remedying it to make sure its under 15amps. Which really is them adjusting the regulator to not go as far toward max. I might do a video down to update on how to handle the 15AMP with the stock nozzles.

      It has to happen every video now and any foam cannon review. Griots/MJJC hybrid is just showing off falling just to run it in Big Bois face. 🤣

    Which one of the bigboi units is compatible to the active 2.3

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад +1

      The duo is the most comparable as they are running the same type of motor and form factor with the type of pump. Both get better performance numbers than the pro.
