  • Tobacco giants JTI-Macdonald Corp., Rothmans, Benson & Hedges are set to pay smokers and health departments in Canada $32.5 billion in a settlement that would end a year-long legal fight. A Quebec court ruled in 2015 that companies failed to warn consumers of the dangers of smoking.
