ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On RUclips and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If it's a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.
I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.
We look at 3 things:
1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver
Niall seems very down-to-earth. Really enjoyed the video.
He really is
Great lesson Danny. Niall is a musical super star, but you are now the star of the small screen.
Congratulations Danny.
That’s really kind, I love coaching amateur golfers
Terry Cork
Danny your enthusiasm for your teaching really shows, and thats what makes you so popular. Plus of course your good at it.
A really interesting lesson Danny, love the way you related the rhythm and nerves back to Niall’s professional life, so important and helps make your instruction stick! Keep them coming Danny!
Thank you Andrew 😁
This was a wonderful video to watch. Niall is obviously a very good swinger of the club. It was nice to see you both relaxed and talking openly about the weekend golfers nightmare on how to deal with nerves.
Great lesson. Nial massive supporter of golf. My wife 64 had a lovely photo with Nial at the Open in St Andrews. He was so kind to the spectators asking for photos.
So good to hear Graham
Danny, you are the next Michael Parkinson. You allowed your subject to speak unlike some interviewers and you listened and reacted. Such a natural. What a lovely guy Niall seems so now want to hear him sing! Such a good lesson too about paying attention to exterior thoughts rather than interior ones. Any lessons on tempo and rhythm would be great re ratio 3:1 with drive/irons and 2:1 with wedges and putter (Tour Tempo). Well done, Danny, you’re a star🌟!
What a fun, and yet really informative video. Great job Danny. You rock. It was nice seeing a touching human side of superstar Niall Horan too.
Niall is talented and humble and amazing.
He’s very talented
That was brilliant Danny so different and informative on rhythm and tempo. Learnt a lot from this one, many thanks.
You are very welcome
A great performer. Wonderful as a judge on The Voice. A great all around sweet guy.
💯👌
Danny at his best! Love the way you relate golf to things in peoples wider experiences, in Nial’s case his singing. Personally I’ve particularly found it useful when you relate the golf swing to other sports. You summed up my issues with putting very nicely! Need to save up for a lesson with you!
Thank you Anne for your kind words
HH Niall, top bloke.
He really is, very down to earth
Really great putting advice. I can relate to what Niall was saying. I seem to get nervous on short puts but if I don't think about it and just walk up and hit it, then it goes in.
Absolutely Michael, build a routine that flows and you will learn to cope with the nerves
Feel the rhythm!
Rhythm and soft arms and it always feels easier. He's bang on about the tap in gimme's.... we always make the 3-4 footers with one hand without breaking stride, then miss the 2 footers in competitions, because we ring its neck 😂. Good lesson DM. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Graham
You’re a brilliant coach Danny. I always play better after watching your videos. 👏👏
Super kind, thanks so much for taking the time to comment
Great help here Danny. Thank you again. 😊
Pleasure Blaze all the best
Wow this was really good. Never thought of the rhythm aspect considering all sports have it .
So important 👍
Especially if you're Catholic 😂
What a fascinating insight into Danny’s teaching process. Tunes* into Niall’s learning style by reference to his core craft and gets him flowing. Have had this putting lesson in person - Danny relates it to the sport or craft of your youth and it really, really works. * Yeah, I know 😂
Super kind John thank you 🙏
Fabulous lesson Danny. Some real nuggets. I shall watch it again a couple of times before playing again.
Thank you Peter, have a great weekend
The putting portion of this video was great, I tend to stand over the putt and have a jerky stroke. I recently purchased a putting mat to help me improve my stroke and I will work on having more rhythm to my stroke.
Love to hear how you get on
Love the lesson. I must be old as I had no idea who Niall loran , then realised it’s Horan 😂, is, his music etc. And he sells out stadiums. ???? Sure he’s a nice guy. As anyone born on 13 September is great.
Wonderfu! I will put this one in my Danny Maude file to watch again and again!
That’s really kind Jesse
Awesome video Danny. Bring rhythm into the putting stroke seems so natural especially with that last drill.
It’s something I think so many golfers have lost not just in their putting but in many parts of their game
Really appreciated the ideas around putting. I often go round 18 holes of friendly golf under 30 puts, but when I play in competitions a stuggle to break 30 puts. In friendly games I'm relaxed, in compeitions i am really concentrating on what I'm trying to do. I appears that intense concentration is not an advantage in my game.
Thank you for this new perception.
Be yourself and continue to commit to what you know works regardless of the situation
Great lesson this week, Danny. I especially look forward to your lessons with "normal" (whatever that means) golfers. And your putting segment was brilliant! Not sure why you don't issue more of them - putts are over half the strokes in a typical round for most golfers. Don't know how you keep coming up with such imaginative content! Well done.
Thank you John, I love putting 😁
Niall was very quick to pick up concepts that you were explaining.
It is great the way you keep it simple 🏌️⛳
Thank you Tony, always great to put a smile on someone’s face
Enjoyed that - very interesting and something we can probably all take something from.
Really hope so Matt
These live sessions work very well for me - I have been trying to apply your 1-2-3-4 (hole-ball-back-hit) on putts for a while now - many fewer 3-putts even on slow wintery greens! I think it should work on anything from 30yds in - will find out as the weather warms up enough to get back on the course.
Love to hear how you get on
Caddyshack. Chevy Chase. Putting. nanananananaaa...great video Danny! small tweaks and feels that can be put to use immediately. You're a great instructor. First, you ask a few questions to find out HOW he learns and then give him relatable examples. Well done!
That’s really kind Mark thank you
Thanks for this video lesson Danny. Last week I went for a SAM PuttLab lesson and this tied in nicely for what I need to do next 👍
Awesome to hear Alan
That was fun Danny
Glad you enjoyed it Alex, hope it helps
Excellent as always Danny
Thank you David!
Loved your four components. Another ace!
Super kind thank you
Thanks! Great lesson 👍🏻🏌🏻♂️
Pleasure Rob all the best
Great guest. On course lesson is good
Glad you enjoyed it
Well done Danny 👏 😊
Absolutely 👍
Thank you 🙏 Roy
Putting måde easy with these thoughts ❤
Really hope so Dave 👍
Great lesson! Just like I read Bob Rotella books again ❤
Will see if we can get Bob on the channel
Danny another brilliant video
Super kind Stephen thank you
My daughter loves Niall and hates golf. I've forwarded her this, I think it may change her mind (about golf).
Would love to hear that
Great video Danny, so simple ref putting
Glad you enjoyed it Graham
Brilliant video got to be one of the best golf teachers on you tube
Super kind Craig
Yes, indeed!!!
Never heard of this guy (probably because of my age) but a great lesson!
Thank you John
That hard Callaway plug at the beginning hahaha
Hahaha
Classs Danny 👌
Great video 👏
It's that darn Voice talking away from your game. Lol 😂. My wife said it's the game talking away from the Voice. 😂
So true Randy
My man 🫀
Thank you Michel!
Great session. Never thought of these points and never heard before. Cool stuff , Danny.
By the way, these golfers need to see The Voice.
My wife watches him on that show.
Even I didn’t know he was on that show
@DanielMaude He's a great coach of music to young artists, like you.
@@earlterhune5528 he’s got a natural way about him
@DanielMaude Like somebody else, I know .
My strength was coaching soccer, the real football. Youth and adults. I took teams to many tournaments and NY state playoffs. Went to Toronto and Montreal from upstate NY. Developed several players at all levels using unique training methods. Several advanced to high level play and became coaches in college. I miss it.
Terry Cork
What a great day Danny.
Was awesome to get some sun Terry
um Maude and you tell Niall is that I would love to play golf with him
cause I’m part of Down’s syndrome
cause it’s my dream and my whole life or my passion or my future is to see him
Hopefully one day
Great video Danny, thank you so much. You need to come down to Brisbane, Australia. I will buy you a cold one and you could teach me golf.
That doesn't look like England 😂 very jealous of the nice weather. About to play a round of golf this morning so just getting some last minute tips. Thanks Danny another great video 👍
You are very welcome
Looks like another amazing day in Dubai. The course looks pristine!
If I do my best Danny Maude impression. Could I get a free swing analysis.
All in good fun btw. Love your energy
😂👍
No wonder I can’t get a lesson with Danny, he’s too busy 😂😂
Sorry, it’s been a crazy time
Everyone plays differently and has different challenges. Thats why golf is a great game. Good lesson and tips Danny. Have a good week.
And you Matt all the best
Great video Danny I can relate to all as I too react more to visual insights and ono on one .whish I could hit my 9 iron 145 yes I can't even get my 8 iron that far .lol
Check this video out if you are looking to hit the ball farther ruclips.net/video/wXoNE4ygZIY/видео.htmlsi=jB8hkgB4Zk2KpWU2
when you niall who
Niall is my guy and my futureGuy and my futureMan and my lover and my favorite one directioner
much more than one of his members when he was in that type of band I liked
Cause he&I have a boatload of everything in common
cause we both share the same countries based on his heritage to my heritage
great to hear Kimberly
How do you change his path?. I've got similar issues. Good strikes but face closed and in to out swing. Maddening at times
He is a member of Wentworth!
He is Brian 👍
Looking forward to the next video where you teach Mick Jagger how to use the driver!
That’s next week, how did you know 😁
My golf game can be summarized by "You can't always get what you want". Cheers - looking forward to next week.@@DanielMaude
Interesting
😁👍
oh no niall!
um Maude
my question is
do you believe in 19th hole when you make a golf ball skips on top of the water ?
or if you teach Niall how to to do that as well or if he believes in it to ?
of course
Literally overnight, last November, my driver went from pretty darn good for all of 2023 to mostly low left hooks. My 3 wood out of the tee box is still quite reliable. It's a slight draw 250 - 280 yards. I try to use the same set up and swing for both clubs, but right now I can't hit the driver properly to save my life. Over and over and over (range & on course) it's the same result that I can't solve. Any thoughts on why my driver is low left but the 3 wood long and straight/draw? Thx.
Danny, I really struggle with tempo. I know I can hit the ball reasonably well but my tempo really kills my game. Is there anything that I can practice on and off course that can help me settle into a rhythm.
I would practice paying attention to your breathing. Slow it down and concentrate on it while you putt
You could also hum or sing quietly to yourself. Another way is to picture someone who has the rhythm you want and keep that picture in your mind as you swing
Thanks for the suggestion Danny. Singing, I will sing to myself. I have the perfect song to, Who wants to live forever by Queen. I’m sure my playing partners will love a good sing along 😂👌
Niall HOran😂
legend
Lee Westwood seemed like one of the players who could have done with this putting lesson.
Absolutely, always looked tight over his putts
Darn, when I heard pop star, I was hoping for Taylor Swift! I guess she's busy this weekend watching her guy 🤣😂😄
Next week Mike 😂
Tap it in, taaaap it in.
Exactly 😂
A lot of young girls will be very jealous danny😂
Wonderful instruction. Goodbye Mr. Roboto! Domo arigato!
😁👍
I can’t relate to a 145 PW
Hopefully you can relate to the putting that comes afterwards
If I see it I can make it. For me it’s my shoulders and rhythm; rhythm is a beautiful explanation.
Who ??!
😁 for the younger audience
Lovely piece of obvious marketing at the start there.
Hope you enjoyed the lesson and it helps you on the golf course
Lost me at Boy Band. Pass
Not sure we mentioned boy band but hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend
Niall who??? 😂
Legend
He has just a few more subscribers than Danny 😊
Niall Horan
@@lloydranola just one or two extra 😂
Great video!
I do quite disagree with this technique. Please read Percy Boomer on Putting. Takes you 5 minutes. In a nutshell: a putt should be played like a regular swing. Eyes over the line and still talking about spatial vision? That is not logical. If your eyes are off the line you can triangulate, much better for distance, which is the number one concern in putting. Anyway, just read Percy Boomer guys. Even Pete Cowen teaches from his book, On Learning Golf. Well, it is the best book and thus makes the best coaches.
Well that.wasnt much of a playing lesson 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤷🤷
Lots more to come 😁
I like the way you present things and I follow you actively. The artist in question is unknown to me, but I have to listen to his music. I don't know where this was filmed but... I would hope that places like Qatar, Dubai, etc., where e.g. human rights are in a bad position would also be taken seriously in golf. But all that matters is the money and the sun, it makes me sick.
🤫
What a good sport for letting you share this, really enjoy watching this format of video Danny, love watching their journey, must be satisfying for you too, top stuff
Really enjoyed sharing something a little different
Wohooo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thank you‼️that was brilliant at the putting green…… can‘t wait to try this out tomorrow! 😀😀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love to hear how you get on
Is that the 17th on The Emirates Faldo course?
It is indeed
So jealous of all the brand new Callaway gear!
It’s pretty cool
Great didactics Danny!
Thank you 🙏
Loved this video!
Glad you liked it!! Something a bit different
Another great video instructive content I love the practice of just walking up to the ball and popping it in the hole because Iam guilty of overthinking the putt will use this in my process in future
CheersDanny
Glad you enjoyed it Alan, this is a great starting to point to learn the sensation before you settle down
