6:02 Harry is right about the straws thing, and I can’t tell if he’s doing it on purpose, since while it does pose danger in landfills, which is valid. Currently emissions and other similar types of pollution are way more concerning, it’s a small part of animal populations who are majorly affected by bags and straws and stuff, but as a whole things like tire run off and smog is causing wayyyyy more damage

5:40 i think the point harry was trying to make was that how things like banning paper straws places the responsibility of "saving" the climate on individual consumers when in reality it's big corporations that produce far more pollution in a year than any 1 plastic straw enjoyer would in their whole lifetime, to avoid people calling for sanctions on economic activity for the sake of the environment. fun fact: the concept of a "carbon footprint" was made up by BP (the petrol company) for this exact reason!
