loved the bullets back then ......... make the finals with a 42 - 40 record .........had to go 7 games to beat the knicks and sixers to get to milwaukee...............but the bucks were loaded , really enjoyed the nba of the seventies.......... cleveland cavaliers had a terrific run in the mid seventies ........ 74-75 or 75-76.....loved the cavs back then ...... especially.
See, young'n's? Even the NBA back in the day wasn't privy to be preempted by Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey's during the playoffs. Just like the WNBA is now. Oh, and nice local product placement there with the Miller Brewing Co.
That's why you can make a case for Kareem being the goat because he took an expansion team to the championship in only his second year where it took the so call goat Michael Jordan seven years and Kareem 3 college and 3 high school championship losing only 2 games. Jordan won only 1 and was cut from his high school team.
80's Bucks were force to reckon with. Sydney Moncrief was an MVP candidate and a beast defensively. They also win 50+ wins regularly and even have a sweep against a powerhouse Larry Bird Celtics. 2001 Bucks had a 52-30 record and just one game away from NBA Finals that year. 2019 Bucks looks towards a 50+ wins again.
This was an unbelievable time in the NBA and in our lives. It may never happen again. What a team!! I'd love one of those warm up jackets.
