It does seem like the Avs always seem to have an extra level of play their elite players can elevate into once playoffs start... The Oilers seem to be doing the same right now... the Canucks, meanwhile, seem to have a snare since the all-star break and has not been able to regain its form. I'm feeling more and more that, even if the Canucks come out of round one, they would not be a match for the Oilers - the 4:0 regular season head-to-head record means absolutely nothing.

Of the 16 playoff teams, the only team worse than Vancouver is Nashville. Painful series to watch.

These are the 2 best defensive teams. Left in the playoffs. The reason they look so bad. It's because they are both making it nearly impossible to get any offense moving.

@@glennhankins6927 Colorado does not play defense. They rely on lethal offense. And when faced with a high power defending team, they struggle and their goaltending lets them down.

@@golfer435 Georgiev's goaltending was rock solid, as was their defence in the 4 Colorado wins. The high powered Winnipeg offence could
only manage 2 goals in game 2....2 goals in game 3.... 1 goal in game 4. Winnipeg was favoured by every expert, but
Colorado's strength in ALL aspects, Goaltending, Defence and Offence.

I love the Canucks… but I cannot stand EP. That “kid” is pathetic and has no grit or heart. Wish we traded him when we could.
