You are an amazing human I am 80 year old man and I am so intrigued by what you can accomplish on your own your ingenuity is boundless keep up the good work
I'm so sorry to hear about Clyde. He was my favorite out of all your dogs. He loved his life! He loved to wander & explore. He always knew you'd come find him. You & Steve are beautiful people for taking in the seniors that most wouldn't. I'll miss all his barking & howling. My condolences to you, Steve & the rest of the pack ❤ 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Thank you so much for posting today ... four of my regular Sunday RUclipsrs have gone AWOL today. But Michygos was here, with puppies and a pussycat! Hooray! 🎉
Another wonderful Sunday morning with Michelle! I'm a little hesitant to admit that I have 140+ subscriptions on RUclips. Michygoss is at the very top. My absolute favorite! The sound of your voice has a very calming effect, especially when you do the voice-overs. Thank you for sharing a bit of your world with us every Sunday morning Michelle. You're an amazing woman. 🍁❤🍁 ☮️ on 🌎
just know you both gave Clyde a great new life, saving him then giving him the time of his life showering him with love and care and being there with him as he crossed over the bridge
PS, I've always owned a circular sawmill, I'm 72 but your inspiration to me, so I bought a bandsawmill this year, makes providing lumber so much easier.
LOL, I did the same thing in the mid 80's with a piece of a crate wood. I worked at a motorcycle dealership which sold Yamaha and Honda motorcycles from Japan, and one piece of the crate smelt so good I had to taste it. My co worker yelled at me and said don't do that the crates are probably sprayed with pesticides. LOL
I bet, but could be wrong, that we’ll see more of Steve now that his back is better. One caveat though, you’ll need to get a tv and stream Hogan’s Hero’s. Almost lost it when he asked you not to burn the house down. Too funny!!😂 Great progress!!
It’s looking great. If you were a professional carpenter I’d probably wouldn’t be watching your adventures, I like watching the way you think your way through your projects. Maybe it’s not right for some but it’s your way and that’s what great about you doing it your way. Good seeing a flash of Steve and him giving you his wisdom of don’t burn the house down. Lol. Thanks for sharing your adventures
So sorry to hear about Clyde. We had to say goodbye to our Henley, nearly 15 yr old working Cocker Spaniel two weeks ago and it is absolutely gut wrenching, my wife and I were distraught and would burst into tears thinking about him. We feel your pain and hope that it passes soon, love and hugs to you and Steve from UK.
My condolences on Clyde. You gave him the Best Time of his life past few years! He is in Dog Heaven 🙏🏻 New project almost completed 👍 Amazing woman Michelle: you just “Rock It”.. My favourite channel for Years since day One! Stay safe and dry👍 Barry Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
I watched this as the sun rose in background here in Minnesota. You my lady inspire me to go get my projects finished . Clyde is hanging out with my tuffy . It's been almost 50 yrs next . You never forget all the memories. Your fort is comin along fine . I built 4 mini homes for the homless this past summer . Temps are dropping fast indian summer is over . I m stuck on how to saftey heat them. Staying dry out of wind helps but some warmth is a blessing . Lil children are amongst the homless to no fault of their own . Inspiration
Hi Michelle, Steve, Pups 🐾 and 🐈⬛too 😊👋🏻 Thank you Michelle , always great to hear from you 🙂Fort looks awesome! 👍🏻 Stay safe and take care my friends , appreciate you always 🫶🏻 God Bless 🙏🏻
That's more than a fort; it's a fortress; all the boards are thick. It's lookin' good. If it were me, I'd kind of wish I had gone bigger, maybe another cabin. It looks like it might be done just in time for the snowfall.
I chose that size simply because the slabs and scraps I had were 16’ long, so cutting them in half gave me all my subfloor material, and my slabs material. (Not all the slabs, but a lot of them)
The last warm rays of the fall always give me a melancholy feeling. The first nice powder to lay a track for my cross country skis always makes me happy!
Good Sunday morning Michelle.. we plan our Sunday brunch around your 10am videos. So sweet to see Clyde giving his approval on your fantastic build ❤ oh we're going to miss that Clyde bear so much!! I can see the sadness in your eyes when you talk about him. Loving that you always find dog treats in your pocket 😉
Ahhhhh….the gift of abundant free wood, NO HOA, no permits, engineering regs….just the pure joy of creating on the fly in a wilderness created by God and assisted by the doggie brigade…. Rock on Mother Teresa of Doggies❣️🌺🌸
Looks great the only thing I would do differently is install the door to open outward instead of inward this would give more space. Other than that awesome workmanship or I should say workwomanship.
Hey Michygoss, You see how easy it got after you put the floor and the roof on first. This is exactly how my husband and I built our house. Everybody thought it was a platform of a stage until we got it finished with the walls and the windows. You simply amaze me with your building ability.
Michelle your like performing Cirque du Soleil on that wet latter reaching over putting in screws, your motto is come rain or shine this is getting closed up. Nice work and the touch of resistancé of course the door hung. Thanks for Sharing...
Everytime I hear that music I think its Shawn James and his "Self Reliance Show" as it is the music he uses and yes I know its well used by outdoor enthusiasts , you included but as its Sunday evening here it gets to me.
Paint stripping tip, I always start with a heat gun and putty knife which gets the bulk of it off and no goopy mess to deal with at that point. Then use the chemicals and course steel wool/scraper. Love the blue flannel shirt by the way.
Wow, there's no quit in this girl. She will find something to fit or use no matter what. What a wonderful independent girl. What she doesn't know she will try and what she tries always works.
I enjoy watching your videos. As an architect who has been building for almost three decades, it doesn't matter if I would do it the same or differently, you always figure out a way to solve it and that puts this activity back where it belongs and it existed long before any university.
You are an absolute gift! I love your calm voice and delivery. As an old dog myself, I can only wish that I had someone like you to look after me like you look after your dogs.
❤As always you're doing an amazing job.you going to like visiting down there once in awhile then you'll have the cabin on the cliff to work on then after that you won't have anything to do😂 but by watching your channel you'll find something to do that's because you are a creative person😂❤ thank you for the video see you on the next one
I really like your little house in the forest. You have great building skills. Your love of animals is inspiring. I have 2 dogs myself. They're my kids. They're both getting up in age (like myself) now. 😊
17:42, Most useful Sawhorse EVER. Great content Michelle, thank you for all the great content. I hope Steve is getting along better these days too, any kind of back/medical issues can be problematic, with Winter fast approaching .
Hey Mich, you’re getting good. Your skills are much better… thats a good looking shack, or whatever you call it. Continue the good work, we love you ❤.
Hi Michelle. Another great video! You have for sure become a master of building or a mistress of building!?!. Your fort build looks great and you look amazing...as usual. Can't get enough of your personnality. Wishing you a great week ahead. Stay safe and happy.😊❤😊
Hi Michelle, your humorous comments/actions are always welcome in your videos, and today I laughed out loud when you reached into your pocket for some screws, and had a handful of dogs treats too, and you said screws or dog treats...that is one of the many things I enjoy about watching you. When I saw 71K views, I was trying to imagine a stadium with 71K people in it, and believe so many of us enjoy your tenacity, the way you share your thought pro-cesses when doing things, your ability to do so many things that a lot of women don't have the interest/knowledge in doing, and your caringness that comes through loud and clear! You and Steve are blessed to have each other, and I can only imagine how possibly Steve's life in that environment might be a whole lot more difficult, if you didn't possess the ability/skills to do so many of the things you do, that some might consider men's work, to continuously help and improve things around the property. I'm curious about the game plan/timeframe for getting the boat over this way? Irish Spring; "manly yes, but Michelle likes it too"! You all stay safe, and "clean as a whistle"!😘😘
Like how you use something that gets thrown away or burned most of the time, also would be good to see you build shed or something out of old bricks or home made bricks
You got a lot done. I might consider roughly framing in a small bed or couch (like an RV) with 3-4" strips and a cabinet or counter space while you still have the open access. After the walls and doors and windows are all up it can be a more challenging workspace to navigate, especially in a smaller space. A little wood stove in there will be cool, but it will also get hot and dry quick I bet. Keep a pot of water going with the wood stove on so you don't dry the interior out too much while the exterior is wet.. This will help to keep the wood from checking over time. FWIW I kind of liked the green door and would probably just have painted some flowers on it. :p
FYI, when you are using your electrical saw to rip, put the large flat surface on the large flat surface of the wood you are cutting. It will give the saw more surface area to lay on. Your doing a great job.........
Nothing is better than Michelle on a rainy sunday morning. Everything done with love!
Every time I watch one of these videos, all I can think of is "She is a badass!!!" You really have the skills to pay the bills.

Michelle you are a remarkable person.
Not many around like her shes is a keeper and Steve is blessed to have her!

Yeah ; I like the build .
Camphor .
@@TheYeti308the smell? Hmmm yes!!!

Almost lost it when he asked you not to burn the house down. Too funny!!😂
Great progress!!
Grooving music, cat and dogs, wood cutting, no introduction down to business. That’s entertainment!
It sounds like Camphor, I once milled some and wow it smells heavenly !

Wise words! 😂
Thank you for making my day much better! ❤
No dog could want for more care and love that you give them. Have comfort in knowing you give all your pets a wonderful retirement life.
Looking good. Cabin not bad either 👍

Your "fort" is looking awesome and your imagination is out of this world and I love it. What a place to escape to.
Bonjour j'adore vos vidéos bravo pour votre cabane pas facile Bon courage pour la suite 👍👍👏👏👏
My Sunday was sad until your video came up. Now, I feel good again. Thank you for being the person you are 💙💛💜 and sharing your experience with me.
Love this woman she knows how to build her own building like how she thinks❤🎉❤🎉

Michele this fort is coming along great, I admire your imagination and skill.
I can picture an area rug with a rocker and end table next to the wood stove. Heaven!
Hi Michelle, your video makes me very happy. You inspire me. You are the kind of person I believe makes sense to share life. Thanks again...
Thanks for being something to look forward to on Sunday mornings!
I love the hardware on the old door
Oh Yeah,,, coolest fort ever,,, wood stove, yes,,, need heat, great job, looks awesome
I'm loving your return!
I so wanted to smell that wood, you really sold it to me 😃.. thanks for sharing your projects with us.

Anyone who always has dog treats in his/her pocket is a good person.
The rustic looking door fits with the overall look!!!
All the hard work leads to an excellent result. Patience required. Very inspiring 😊.
Michelle you are the "Wood Warrior Goddess" IMHO
Pro-Gress Cool! It's nice to see you smiling.
When you were smelling the wood, I had to smile. A small part of the build shut everything down for a few exciting moments. Wonderful.
🤝😊🇺🇸
Dog scratches on the door = character!
Over 40yrs of building and so lovely to see you learn on the fly. Blessings.
I've been watching since the beginning, doing a great job, looking great, and sorry for the family loss RIP
The slabs are an AWESOME touch for this build siding! 💯
Michelle, Your building skills have vastly improved over the years I've been watching your channel.
Ahhhhh….the gift of abundant free wood, NO HOA, no permits, engineering regs….just the pure joy of creating on the fly in a wilderness created by God and assisted by the doggie brigade….
Rock on Mother Teresa of Doggies❣️🌺🌸
I'm liking this cute little cabin! I also liked the green on the door, but... oh, well! Ain't my door! lol
A darker green and I may have kept it. Also didn’t feel like painting it cuz layer after layer of paint sometimes looks really bad.
Your perseverance and drive is endearing.
Thank you 🇦🇺
If you hung your door to swing out you wouldn't lose any internal space
Another great video kid !!! Thanks a lot.
That is just so beautiful
You don't have to make excuses, you are doing a damn fine job.
That's a great fort Michelle. I can smell the cedar from here. And I always wondered where a535 came from. Now I know.
😆
Looks great the only thing I would do differently is install the door to open outward instead of inward this would give more space. Other than that awesome workmanship or I should say workwomanship.
I used the hinges that were on the door, and they were set for the door to swing open inside.
Idea..........shift the "too small" log burner to this smaller space?
Hey Michygoss,
You see how easy it got after you put the floor and the roof on first.
This is exactly how my husband and I built our house. Everybody thought it was a platform of a stage until we got it finished with the walls and the windows.
You simply amaze me with your building ability.
I love putting a roof on before walls. Covered work space!

Someone else said that, but I’m not familiar enough with his channel to know his music choices.
Paint stripping tip, I always start with a heat gun and putty knife which gets the bulk of it off and no goopy mess to deal with at that point. Then use the chemicals and course steel wool/scraper.
Love the blue flannel shirt by the way.
Good to know! Thanks!
Wow, there's no quit in this girl. She will find something to fit or use no matter what. What a wonderful independent girl. What she doesn't know she will try and what she tries always works.

... HELL YEH.... HELL FRIGGEN Yeh..... 👊💥👊💥✌️☮️👍... You are Awesome and Amazing and so Talented... ✌️☮️
I wouldn't change a thing about the way that door looks.
Legend has it her spirit can still be found all these years later sniffing that window frame.
looking really good, impresive hanging a door on your own
You are an absolute gift! I love your calm voice and delivery. As an old dog myself, I can only wish that I had someone like you to look after me like you look after your dogs.
Looks good what a place to sit and meditate thanks for sharing it was good to see Steve!! till the next one peace and happiness.👋🙂
Oh Michy what a talent you have! Everything you build is absolutely beautiful!
It’s going to be really cute and also COOL!
I love how this fort is coming together. Such a cool little structure... 🌺 🙏
Good morning from South Africa cape Town. That door hanging was just fine...lolol and yes id love a cup of coffee....lolol
It's incredible how well you can do things on your own without a helper. Hanging a door alone is impressive! Your fort looks awesome!
That looks like poplar wood from the old pallet,, Everything looks great!
Love the unconventional way you work. Keep it up

17:33 Peek a Boo we love you too...thanks for posting
Enjoy your videos ❤A Fan Arthur 😊
Your Fort is looking better with each video. Keep up the good work.
Coming along just great, you should remove the bark from your slabs, for drying purposes and rot. It looks fantastic, keep up the great work, be well.
oooo new video. love new videos when they come out, I think I'm just addicted to watching you working on whatever it is you are working on lol ❤
