Hey Murtz, snorkle looks great but what's putting me off fitting one is lack of mounting points on the snorkle. Why didn't fabwiz add an extra mount point for the snorkle in the inner guard? Having only the rubber connection (rubber mount) and the A-pillar mount (single fixed mount) doesnt seem enough considering most of the big brand snorkles have at least 4-6 mounting points through the guard additional to the pillar mount. I just see it as a potential for the snorkle to vibrate and squeak on the guard on corrugations and rough terrain. Let me know what you think. Also is the Induction noise not too over the top to live with day to day?
Hey mate thanks for watching! Great question mate as this was one of our worries as well. The rubber connection is just temporary, I don't think you will see them sell too many more kits until this is fixed. We screwed and clamped it on so it is well sealed but it isn't the ideal set up. They have a proper adaptor being made and also an airbox. Being such a big snorkel and how much corrugations we do yes it was a worry, honestly now its all fitted on even with my body weight pulling down on it it doesn't move at all. It seems to be a very good fit, obviously we will be watching this over time but if it is something holding you back then I wouldn't let it! And the induction noise no I love it. Window up you don't even hear it. If you are out the bush and want to hear it crack the window and sounds amazing. Day to day don't even notice it mate you have to be fairly feeding it to get the loud noise. Hope it helps mate cheers!
Great response Murtz ! :) I'll wait and see what Corey does to re-design his snorkles. Good to know the noise is not too obnoxious for day to day. I'm hoping with one of these color coded would blend in nicely. Keep up the good work and I'll live vicariously through your videos until I fit out my Y62 S5 a bit more.
@@oozuk Yeah the only changes that the snorkel needs is the connection which I mentioned is in the works and the mounting bracket they are going to make that adjustable for the perfect fit. once this is done it will honestly be spot on. They have done well to be the first to do a 5 inch its a big piece of pipe haha! Awesome mate! Do you follow us on instagram? I have a website launching soon mate that will have a few tips and tricks for setting up the patrol!
Hey mate! Na it doesn’t but Definately sits close! They are in the process of making a new adjustable bracket mate so can play with it a bit. No issue tho ☺️
@@miraboi1 Na it actually mounts solid as mate! They also have a new airbox to suit the factory airbox coming so I am looking forward to that! Cheers mate!

What exhaust are you running though?
I can’t decide what to get on my Y62!
I tow quiet a bit and am trying to avoid drone.

Gday mate thanks for watching! It’s from dash OffRoad mate
Any water issues with this style snorkel ? meaning water ingestion, heavy rain etc ?
We had our airbox sealed up and did get some water in there driving in heavy rain, have put a hole in the bottom now so should be sweet. Love it
@@Travellingcampers so it that something you can then seal up for water crossings ?
Did that paint and seal the cut edges? Help prevent rust?
Thanks for watching Steve! Yeah mate we put rust protection and paint over it and then the seal over the top so happy days!
What made you decide to go Fabwitxz over Safari?
Just love the look and never had a stainless before mate, love it!
Mad chub. When in doubt ask yourself #whatwouldmurtsdo

5” gutter down pipe on a stock 4wd? Why not 😂 I’m goin the 5” for my gu because ya know why not
Just make sure you keep ya gutter clean so it doesn’t block up 😉
Great channel. Please Make More.👌🏼⭐️
Greetings from Albania. 👋🏼 🇦🇱
Also, Let’s build each other Up. 🤝
Thanks mate!
Hate to burst your bubble but intake facing backwards will create a void thus reducing available air. IE no ram air benifits
She still sucks in a lot of air mate, heap more than standard, definately will get more from a safari with ram head for sure! Cheers for watching!
No anti rust fitted or smoothing the saw marks?
Yeah mate of course ☺️
