Vlog 178: Moreland Late Arvo Recycle - The Packed Out Spare

Thought I’d put this one up,
Here’s some footage of Jacob in #11487, that was taken a few months ago, This video features one of our 2 spare trucks, this one been unit #11487, which is fitted out with a 22m body and newer UG-6 Grabbers.
This truck has collected all 4 bins, and is most commonly seen doing garbage, which I have filmed a lot of in the past. There was a week when Ryan was off (apparently with a runny nose), so Jacob was covering his run, Citywide was dealing with a shortage of trucks, and this was the only truck available for Jacob to use, being a 22m body it was not at all ideal for recycle, Due to the smaller body, an extra load had to be completed, doing a total of 2 and ½ loads, instead of the normal 1 and ½ with the 29m body.
I spent the morning with Steve in his perm truck #FN11484, he informed me that this truck was out on recycle, which I was pretty stoked about, unfortunately I originally caught it at the wrong time, as it was just finishing its second load, after doing a few laps around the area, and a stop at the local fish and chip shop for lunch, time ticked past 2pm, which was went I set out to find empty recycle bins, This was the last street for the day, and everything was finished up at around 3pm, it was struggling to pack the final bins on, spent about 5 mins packing towards the end, I actually ended up with a pretty decent sized video, which surprised me, as I wasn’t expecting to get much being the last street.
I’m pretty happy to finally have a decent video of a 22m on recycle and I do have some further footage of this truck on recycle, that was filmed in May this year, however that video won’t be up for a while.

This truck on recycling makes for an even more enjoyable video! Lots of traffic here but the drivers handle it like its nothing. Reminds me of Remondis when they were servicing Maribyrnong. Remondis had 29m's for all bins from what I can recall. A few 22m's for garbage aswell but a very clean and well kept fleet!!

Yeah small body on recycle is always good to see, one of our 35m Dennis's was been used on garbage for a few months but has recently swapped runs so now we have a 29m on garbage.
