Hello, very good video and nice storytelling, it was compelling ! For anyone wondering about names of places (some sound french, some don't) : the Mont Blanc is in France but the Alps, the mountain chain, belong to France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. You can imagine a lot of people named a lot of things differently. The Mont Maudit (t is silent) means the cursed summit. You can see why. In avalanche, the e is silent, but pretty much no word sounds the same as this one so keep your ears open to know when it's about to happen. The sandwich at the beginning is a jambon-beurre, ham & butter, cheese is self-evident in France. While most people speak english nowadays, it does help to learn some French before climbing up. Or get a french friend. If you're incredibly good at climbing the Mont Blanc and can get citizenship, the Chasseurs Alpins might want to have a word with you.
