I watched the show last night and was a fan of Queen from day one back in the 70's and saw them live with Freddie and John. As I responded to K.5, where the hell was the respect for John Deacon? I realize the show was about the new incarnation with Lambert and he deserves respect for what he has done with Queen BUT.... only ONCE was Deaky's name mentioned and then just "John". The same John that was with them 26 years from 1971 to 1997, their amazing bass man, a sweet guy who wrote terrific sons and had millions of fans. They said Queen lost "A" member. NO! They lost two, not one. I know John wants privacy but a little respect from his band mates might have been nice. That left me with a dirty taste in my mouth. Very sad. John Deacon - "THE INVISIBLE MAN".
@Susie Q - I haven't seen the documentary (and likely won't) but agree with you re: John Deacon. I saw a video several months ago where the question of why John was no longer performing with the other two was asked and Roger said and this is an almost exact quote, "John was always frail. I think he's sociopathic." If Roger knows what "sociopathic" means and didn't use the wrong word unintentionally, I lost all respect for Roger.
@@SonshineLady7 - It appears Deaky was always very introverted and shy and possibly suffered from depression for a while. In interviews they needed a crowbar to extract a sentence from him. I hope that is not true but have heard it may be and that he was treating it with alcohol, a common thing for people do. Freddie's death could have been the tipping point. Depression is a terrible illness and not the same as being a sociopath. If Taylor was being flippant, it is not at all funny. He should know better. Depression is a true chemical imbalance in the brain and sufferers are often very intelligent. It is not a sign of weakness as some people believe. Sadly, people avoid the sufferer or make fun of them out of ignorance or because they are uncomfortable and don't know what to do. At least John appears to have a close family and maybe being out of the limelight will be his saving grace. I wish him the best as a long time fan.
