- In 2010, I decided to record and share how Boston celebrates the 4th of July with their Fireworks Spectacular. Two years have passed and I present to you the 2012 Fireworks Spectacular. This year was definitely the most challenging of the 2 previous years since this year involved rain, and lots of it. Due to this, there was indeed a lot more chatter in the background but overall, I am quite pleased with the results.

Location: Taken on the Esplanade on the Charles River next to Storrow Drive, probably about a 3/4 mile west of the Hatch Shell.

I was dead center with the barge on the island of the Boston side and I loved the show but it fried my grandmas phone from the rain. This is the best video iv seen yet! Way better than on tv since they kept moving the cameras. They should've kept it in one place.
I was on the Cambridge side just opposite of you. It was a great performance.

HappyPunjabi1 Thanks! I do try to find the best spot to watch the fireworks every year, arriving by around 6pm to the esplanade just to get these shots. I will be trying again this year as well.

Tht was funny a lady in front of me was in a dress and was soaked because of no umbrella or sutton
I was in a great spot for this right near the Esplanade Hatch but the police told us the show had been cancelled and kicked us all out. It wasn't until I was back at the Garden to board a train at North Station when the fireworks started going off.
