    In today's video, we are reviewing a 2004 Toyota 4Runner with 196k miles. We purchased this vehicle from a private party here in Colorado for only $1900, making this the cheapest running and driving 4Runner for sale in the nation (for this year). We also announced our first giveaway! Instructions are in the video, and a link to the product we are giving away is worth over $100!

      @@D_Series22 I'm upgrading from a 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara, it's got 177k miles on it and it's falling apart lol. Although the 4Runner has more miles, they're known for longevity so I couldn't pass it up. The one I bought has some surface rust on the frame and no other problems, but hell I can't pass it up for that price.

    I bought a 2004 4runner for $1500! It’s not as nice as yours though 2wd v6 with rougher interior and 220k miles. It needed work but I got it on the road for cheap.I wish I had the 5 speed 4wd and maybe the v8 if I could choose. But so far this has been a great vehicle for what it is and what I got it for. It’s been in one accident since I owned, (I wasn’t driving) and it took it like a tank! The 2018 Honda CRV wasn’t as lucky. And about the speed being nothing special, I come from small 4 cylinder sedans like a 1993 Corolla, Chevy Cruze 1.4 2019 Camry, 2011 Grand Caravan, and my own 2002 F150 5.4 and the 4runner will “out4run”everything except for the dodge (the Chrysler 3.6 with the 6 speed is a bit of a rocket). The 4runner is not at all slow and will probably keep up with Honda civics lol. Some guy in an older Chevy Silverado 5.3 ,4 speed probably, tried racing me but the 4runner walked away. It’s a good little truck with some power to!

    V6.... gross. Get the 4.7 or nothing. The 2Uzfe is arguably one of Toyota’s best engines. And as far as an overhead cam V8 goes, about as rock solid as it gets.
    The basic features are what make these Japanese SUV’s so reliable. Added electronics bring complications with age. And if a person wishes to have common 2019 convenience like CarPlay, Bluetooth, OBD2 diagnostics, all they have to do it is install a aftermarket double din stereo with touchscreen from Alpine, Pioneer or similar. Very low cost solution

    • @nordicpride9708
      @nordicpride9708 4 года назад

      Sublime203 I’ve worked on hundreds of 2UZ-FE’s. Many have gone double the mileage without any timing belt issues. Timing belts break due to tensioner failure, or water pump. Pretty apparent you have little to no experience with either. I’ve seen just as many timing chains break as the 4.7 belts. But definitely enjoy that turd of a V6👍🏻

    • @nordicpride9708
      @nordicpride9708 4 года назад

      Sublime203 Thanks for clarifying. The thing is, the 4.7 V8 is one of the best engines Toyota ever built. The reason they opted for a timing belt revolves around design and valve train harmonics. Timing belts are superior to timing chains in every respect besides maintenance(Toyota recommends you change the belt on the 4.7 V8 every 90k miles). But I get not wanting something that requires that type of service when you can’t just do it yourself. It’s about a $1000 job depending on where you go. But again, if you want the best engine in a 4th gen, the 4.7 V8 is it.
      Also, being a cook is just as important as being a mechanic. Hell I can’t hardly make a cheese sandwich to save my life, so cheers to your culinary craft. Take care

    That's really cheap compared to the market I live. Great bargain.

      Yeah i’m not aware of any 4th gen ones with clean titles that sell for much less than $10k around here. So you got a killer deal. Unlike most cars the mileage doesn’t really matter, as long as it has been maintained correctly

    Just snagged the same 2004 4th generation 4runner for 5k with 139k miles. 4.7 V8 4WD. The 4-4runner! I also own a 1984 Toyota Supra that I've restored to daily driving condition. I also own a 2017 Jeep Cherokee sport and this is still my favorite vehicle.

      Joseph Doss We like what we like, however don’t be shocked when that jeep implodes after 100k miles. It’s no 4Runner
