То есть Вы хотели сказать наоборот, Дрессел сравнится с Танди... у Брэда лучший старт в воздушной части, тогда как у Калеба лучше подводная часть, чем он и выигрывает в результате.
I do think he can improve this way of starting. In the fase, where he is over extending in the air, there is not enough contraction of his abs. When he is over extending less and his body stays in one segment, he will even transfer further horizontal and gain even more speed. This is how I look at it. Still a great start, but I do think there is room for improvement.
He Is So Good With This Start But He Have 2 Mistakes First He Is Looking Too High After Jumping From The Block Secondly His Lower Part Is A Bit Bending Entering The Water That Prevent Him To Get To The Water In Vertical Shape That Can Cause A Little Bit Drag If He Solves This 2 Mistakes He Could Have The Perfect Start
could be because when your body hits the water and breaks surface tension it naturally shifts a little, so your legs will end up entering the same spot as your body if you angle them slightly different. I could be wrong though
i think it’s because when you do a tandy start, you press your chest down to go into the water. so his upper body rotates down and the legs don’t follow
@@garrettnanna8504 You're correct about angles but surface tension must never be mentioned in this context. It is a TINY molecular force that is completely broken by the slightest touch of a fingertip. It plays no part in any macro interaction with a human body.
Brett hope you are fine. Would you consider to make a documentary on starts and starting blocks over the years. When I started in 1980. Blocks were short , small and flat. Also you dived with both feet forward. Similar to what Bill shows here. ruclips.net/video/rDVMaXW_KHs/видео.html Also we were told to dive flatter and both hands open. Would be good if you encourage one of top Australian swimmers to model these starts with you discussing by the pool side.
I wanna see Dressel and Tandy do a start right next to eachother

You should feel embarrassed for that comment, but at least it has been completely ignored ... until now.

i've always wondered, why do the legs enter the water at a different angle than the rest of the body?

This start looks too horizontal.

Probably just gravity bringing the whole body down at the same time as you move forward

Butterfly kicks starting right before leg entry into thr water.. interesting 🤔😂
