i honestly wish games nowadays had generic uniforms based on the weapon you were using instead of some random distinct corny operator with a deep backstory. i miss the feeling of just being an unimportant individual caught up in a massive conflict, there was so much more relatability to just being some person behind a mask and goggles. it also helps distinguish people in firefights, and you know immediately how an engagement is gonna go if the enemy is hooded up and aiming at you from across the map. now it’s just immersion breaking as some wacky ass dude in neon armor slides across the ground gunning people down with an smg. you don’t feel like you’re a part of a conflict anymore tied to a greater story, you feel like you’re in an algorithm where self worth is rewarded through who has spent the most money on the brightest and loudest skins for their operators that spout MCU one liners left and right
I really wish cod went back to this style of faction. The different uniforms all looked cool as hell and the announcers all had different personalities
Yeah I absolutely hate the operators system, especially if it can be used on both teams. With the old style of faction, not only was it uniformed but you could quickly get a sense of what weapon class the enemy you encounter has

More like you're playing as some mercenary or a PMC that wouldn't look like it'd survive day 1. And there's the fact that you can essentially see multiple copies of your character running around in modes like DMZ or even the multiplayer.
I'll be honest, Black Ops 2 was the last CoD game I had invested a substantial amount of time into. That being said, my favorite faction has to be the Mercs with FBI being a close second. "Wanna get paid? Move it!" has basically been burned into my mind.

I've noticed that the type of armor the SEALs wear resembles closely to that of the campaign characters: Assault - Same outfit as Crosby. SMG - Resembles Harper's uniform. LMG - Salazar's outfit. Shotgun - Section's outfit. The ISA also fits here, as they wear the clothes Section and his team wore when they're on the Odysseus.
They brought back some of the skins from BO2: All SEAL skins (Assault and Shotgun as default, Sniper from a 7-day login, and both SMG and LMG variants being obtainable). 3 Merc skins (Assault, LMG and Sniper. SMG and Shotgun yet to be released). 1 FBI skin (Shotgun model. Used to be default until a later update replaced him with Charly). Some Militia skins were in the game files, but not yet released.

there were weapon skins tho, and i think thats the only thing that should matter in a shooter, the weapon is actually the character you are always interacting with.
Bro, I really miss when there were only male characters and each one with a specific outfit depending on the type of weapon you chose. Not to mention they look a lot more intimidating.
My favorite is definitely the Uplink Seals. I think the cool camo and the color is nice as well. It goes well with the awesome armor they wear. My favorite seal is either the shotgun or the sniper. What’s y’all’s favorite?
Will you be able to show the Campaign Mode Looks that the Mercs have? Because they have some different Camouflage Patterns on their Uniforms than what they look like in Multiplayer Mode.

There are some other headwear as well. I don’t believe you see any merc with short sleeves the the shotgun we and smg outfits.

huh never noticed this game didn't have lipsync or eye movements. the models are cool, but they feel way stiffer than any of the models that came before it. at least these guys have new idle animations, other than that really goofy one where you wave your arm
I've always wanted to figure out what boots the seals and marks are always wearing. They're all wearing the same green style hiking shoe. Sometimes it has what looks to be too latch. Lock laces on top sometimes

The sniper skins always looked cold. I’m glad they brought back spec ops 5 and merc 5 back fro codm
