I’m hoping to read Unbowed this year as well, I came across it looking for books for this event and I had never heard of it or her before, which says something… but never mind! 😅 I’ve put in a request for my library to purchase it because they didn’t have it… so fingers crossed. I’m also determined to read Braiding Sweetgrass (which my library does have) this year, since I didn’t get to it last year. I’m sorry you had such a slumpy year last year, but I appreciate you sharing about it and still trying again. I feel like it’s very reflective of activism as well, or just caring about the world, we want so much and want to do so much and it’s easy to get so down on ourselves when we “fail”. But there is no failing as long as we keep trying. I only read one book last year that fit for the Climathon (as far as I know) but I’m trying again this year, and counting two books as a win! 😄 Happy reading!
