@Clackbait I always enjoy your sound tests, there are just some other creators that specialize in it like jr2417 that have a certain style to them. But in terms of just pure sound quality and camera angle, you always provide top notch content
I love the Envoy and I'm glad that they are taking the good things from that and moving it to a 60. I just wished they offered a WK or WKL version. Definitely did the screw trick with the Envoy and it helped a ton. Great info as always man

Curious whats the difference between the tint wool felt mat vs. A full size wool felt desk mat? Will there be a difference in sound getting a tiny one vs. A desk mat, both wool felt?
Cool features that they added like the mounting and feet integration. Sound seems really nice from the reviews I've watched. I can't help but long for a mode65 when seeing this keyboard as the design just doesn't seem very coherent, the bottom and top feet feel like they are fighting each other and chamfers are a bit too subtle to feel intentional.

Looks good, sounds good, and your production work is chef's kiss yet again. I believe what annoys me most are the feet, if we had different colours to blend with the weight, it would be more aesthetically pleasing...even though we won't be looking at them much... 😸

Any ESD sheet included to prevent the PCB from potentially shorting on the case? Also, it seems like there's no/little shifting of the assembly in the case?
@@Clackbait yup! for a little while i used the platefoam that came with my old gmmk pro in my bakeneko to reduce some of the boards ping but keep the charachter.
extra 40-50 dollars for a weight unless you want a plain white one which really only works with the white case, extra 20-30 bucks for an accent unless u want the niche colors, only hhkb layout, no black color option, they removed the best value/one of the best looking accent/weight options (which was gold and it had no extra cost over the base price which is what helped keep sonnet and envoy prices close to the base), overall this thing is gonna cost way over 300 dollars unless you want a unusual looking board like mirage with a white weight and pink accent and it's for a very niche audience. In my heart the envoy is a much better value option, especially for people who don't know what layout they like yet.
Ohh yeah that is pretty hefty. Unfortunately I had no visibility to the upgrade costs besides the starting price, but I did figure the price can get really high based on how the Sonnet was. I agree with the Envoy statement. I appreciate the insights homie.

I am curious, why is it that people who arent what they say "keyboard experts" only going after Mode keyboards. Was this released in kickstarter or something? Im really curious how theres so many custom mechanical keyboards and all of a sudden, ill see people showing Modes randomly just like how keychrons became popular. But keychrons are cheap, whereas Mode is super expensive. How did you even find out about it
That's a great question. Mode has done a great job marketing their brand and delivering products that the keyboard community has enjoyed. I think the combination has led to them becoming a strong name in this hobby. This was not a Kickstarter btw.
@Clackbait hmm it's odd because I see people not into custom keyboards but I only see Mode as the constant brand that shows up. These are people who usually buy products like grovemade. I wonder why they don't buy other brands though when there's kbdfans, novelkeys, monokei, wind studios, etc
