Brings back fond memories, back in 1985 I would catch the Paddington to Wolverhampton evening commuter train out of new street after school, most times I had the whole train to myself, head out of the front window as it stormed up the incline through the tunnel, scored all 50 of them in this way in about a year.Later on when I had more money from my paper round aged 14 I would travel behind them everywhere with my pals to penzance and the Exeter Waterloo line, even had one up to man piccadilly once on a service train not booked for a 50.happy days
when i was a little boy , we lived right next to the wcml , when two fifties would thrash out of wigan , i was so scared of the noise i would run in to my mum . i still remember the noise and look of them today
I remember going on a permit round Laira and seeing a lot of these and some of the Fitters telling us they wished they could repair them but sadly the cost didnt justify it.
Just watched the whole series you've filmed, great selection of footage. 👍
Many thanks

Brings back fantastic memories of spotting in the 80s. Proper locomotives, with character and personality. Not like nowadays 😢
Great video Tim cooper would enjoy this one. I've just subbed
Many thanks
Currently getting as much info on laira in ready for next year's Laira scrapline layout build and you're not wrong, enjoyed this lol.

So so sad I miss each and every one of them
So sad seeing my favourite one Revenge like that….. and all the others. Great knowing that Triumph was saved and is at home now at Bodmin.
Yep, had a trip of Triumph recently at Bodmin. Great location & great loco.
RIP to the 50
Awww that's sad 😔
