I was there the final day he crashed at the bulldog bash of 95, i remember it rained down so hard that day.......i thought it would be trouble for him but i never thought it would almost kill him!!!! i will never forget that day!!!
The footage From 3.05 to 3.50 was filmed at Bovingdon airfield in Herts where i live. I spoke to him on several occasions when he used to train up there, really nice guy. He is now in Felden lodge a couple of miles away still recovering. I hope he rides again as he was the best in the world and i am confident he still would have been today..
@stewandumps Eddie Kidd and Evil Knievel amateurs? are you serious yea i agree there's some fantastic riders about now but they have all been inspired to do what they do by guys like Eddie and Evil your slating there idols, I'd like to see your world record attempt, maybe you could jump 16 double deckers a mars bar and a fudge. These guys are legends respect where its due :)
@CraptinPants76 i was there as well i remember it like it was yesterday the weather was so bad but i bleave that he went 2 fast for the jump he was ment to jump over the cars that were running down the drag strip and stop near the top of the bank on the other side he hit the jump befor the cars got there but with the weather and the speed could not stop at the top if it wernt for his handle bar that went through his viser i think he would have gone on to jump another day
its all about the bike really! there's guys on youtube that make him look very amateur now! its sad what happened to eddi, but thats life when you live dangerously with motorcycle stunts. I was crazy about evil knevil in the 70s when I was a biker...I then went to see eddi and really it was pathetic in my opinion...watchin a young guy do wheeli's on a trials bike perfectly balanced to do the full circuit on the back wheel...I mean come on.. evil was attempting ceasers

he was doing this stuff years bach when no one did no hander jumps, he started it all and he lived on my estate, burygreen, cheshunt to be exact. :-)
