I love that they have a grey Norwegian elkhound that’s part of the team. Elkhounds are fantastic sled 🐕 dogs that have been pulling sleds for thousands of years.
This is so going on my wishlist for my trip to Japan.

Thanks for the comment. It seems they've placed a hold on the reservation due to insufficient snow. I receive this message when attempting to book: "The snow situation is undetermined, so we don't know if dog sledding will be possible. When: Nov 27 - Dec 14, 2023."

Thx! I am very happy to hear you are inspired. 😀Yes, they do rent out free gear but I can recommend you renting or buying used gear when coming to Hokkaido because it's always cold in the winter. Last season we had some days with -31 degrees. 😳⛄

Since the campsite is run by just two people and is only open during the summer, I'm not certain when they will start taking bookings for dog sledding. Unfortunately, I don’t have additional information to offer, as I also went through a similar process, checking multiple times over an extended period to secure a booking.

I booked it 1.5 months in advance. Please keep in mind that Kyoko and Dan are running a campground at a lake with a boat in the summer so they are quiet busy managing bookings. Patience & timing is the key ☺️

@@dhindadhika Kyoko asked me beforehand if I would be okay joining a group which booked on the same day as me. There is no booking agency or group tours operating for this special experience that`s why the price is so fair and very personal.

What do you see when you click on the link?
When I click on the first link the website opens up and in the bottom you find a phone number, email, Facebook and they have a booking system on their website.

Actually this conversation is public viewable. 🤓 I didn't remove any comment because of course I want to solve it and troubleshoot it.
So far I thought copyright issues are only possible to claim on videos and not on comments 🤔 I will ask google-sensei.
