China's JL-10 pilots greetings:Salute, wave, release speed brakes

On the last day of the Changchun Air Show, I waited at the head of the runway for the J-10 pilots to prepare for the flight. As the pilots saluted the ground crew handsomely, two J-10s slowly slid out and took off to perform a dual-aircraft dogfight under the attention of thousands of spectators. After landing, I aimed at the pilots from a distance with a 600mm telephoto lens and waved to them. The pilots responded with a wave. This was an exchange between the photographer and the pilot. After landing, the pilot told me that he had raised the speed brake to say hello to me. It turned out that when they taxied in front of the audience, raising the speed brake was a greeting from the pilots, a romantic interaction between the pilots and the audience.
