Christa Hessler-Zimmermann's son Ulli leaves the GDR in 1968. A hard blow for Ms. Hessler-Zimmermann. But there is no other way. The Stasi has been monitoring the family ever since. Around 1983, Ms. Hessler-Zimmermann traveled to West Germany. Around 1988 her son traveled to the GDR. Ms. Hessler-Zimmermann suspects that her son is being arrested. Accusation: flight from the republic. Shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall, her son was able to enter the country safely through an Interhotel in Dresden. He is in Dresden for 2 days. The first time since 1968.
