      Most companies order things on account and pay for it within a 30-60-day window. This allows for the goods to arrive or the service to be performed and things that may effect the cost such as damaged product or additional service to be added or subtracted from the bill before money actually changes hands. Until that happens the amount owed is kept track of as an account payable on the company's books, a summary of which on a specific date would be required to be submitted as part of a bankruptcy filing.

    to fix an error you made, the original guy invented dippin dots in his parents' garage in Cave-In-Rock Illinois, which is across the Ohio River from kentucky. once he decided to start a company, he moved it to Paducah, KY since that was the nearest city. also, you left out the very interesting fact that it took him forever to patent the process since the patent bureau thought the idea of flash-freezing ice cream was too simple of an idea to patent

    • @ramrod132
      @ramrod132 11 месяцев назад +75

      Also, if we're talking about minor errors- the draw temp (the temp at which it's taken from the scraped surface/batch freezer) of commercial ice cream isn't 30ºF. The sugar depresses the freezing point, so 30ºF ice cream is still pretty soupy. It's usually in the range of 18-26ºF which is about soft serve consistency. It's still soft, but isn't soup.

      Actually funnily enough you've got that slightly backwards with their patent. They filed for a patent in 1989 and it was granted in 1992. 4 years later they sued their competitor, but after being in lawsuit limbo forever, they lost in 2007 when the patent office said that dripping ice cream mix into liquid nitrogen is obvious enough that it can't be considered a proprietary method. The patent is now expired completely since it's past the 15 years, so that doesn't even matter anymore.

I used to take a large cup, act like I’m going to take them back to the main freezer and then fill up my entire 44 oz cup. Then get off work and go up on the roof of the theatre and smoke weed and smash dippin dots.

      @@whom382It's a neat novelty. VERY easy to eat since it's in little beads instead of needing to be scooped, and they melt quickly in the mouth distributing flavor. Since it's beads instead of a clump of cream there's quite a lot of air per bite though, so if you want quantity you may be left wanting. The interesting shape makes it perfect for kids.
