How shallow will trolling motor work?
Great Question TS. If you are on hard bottom you will have about 1.5 ft. If you are in soft mud you can get very shallow on it as the motor does well pushing through the slush. All being said, you can bypass the kill switch (not recommended) and choke up the motor half way up. If anyone does this you can't use the minn kota for direction turning, just the rear rudder. The hull has a natural cavity and when you do this you can literally use the motor in as little as 3 ish inches.
BROTHER... I TAKE DELIVERY ON MY AUTOPILOT 120 TOMORROW..!! YEAH... BABY..!!!
Dope!!! Have fun man, you’ll enjoy the heck out!
Great video edit Chris! but most important great information and point of view on the kayak industry. That kayak seems like a solid kayak I would love to try it out one day.
Thanks for the support Eloy. It will be interesting to see how the community will adapt to motors. I know many local tournaments have accepted them already and a few big ones also. I ran the Professional Redfish League and went 3 of 4 podiums with my blade, but man that took a lot out of me. I think I was the only one without a motor on stage except for maybe 1 of those events. There's definitely an advantage of energy.
cool video. I have a tandem pescador with a 55lb and just bought a 50ah lithium iron. it's going to be great when the blue tooth manager comes in to see how far I can go.
Awesome video, Awesome Reds!
Thanks bro
Thank You for your help
that spot lock is money, great info Bro
It is one fun kayak Slik!
Yes sir 👍🏾, good info
Thanks for tuning in Michael
Great video
Enjoyable video Chris, may I ask what size of leader do you use in this video ?
If I do run a leader it's usually 25lb flouro, although in the marsh I don't typically run leaders. You may see me occasionally, but that's probably from a previous trip.
Great video I just order a 136 what battery would you suggest thanks
I recommend two.
On a budget: 100Ah 12v Lead Acid Deep Cycle Marine Battery (Heavy)
Got $$: 100Ah 12v Lithium Ion (Light)
PS you can find cheap lead acids at Walmart. Found a few for 78-88 bucks in the past
Does the spot lock hold your orientation as well as position? It looked super solid and you were perfect about being quiet
It does in mild settings. If you want superior performance in high wind & current situations, then I would recommend a puck installation.
that awesome i so badly want one. but unfortunitly im not big enough yo get one sent to me lol. but love the content brother tight lines and keep them coming
Don't worry about numbers or how big you are or get. Stay true, and good things will come.
