Another Comicolor homerun by Ub Iwerks. It is good to see the 3 bears again, but who would have guessed they were such brilliant coordinated, in an uncoordinated way, comedic naturals. Love the way Ub carried through the triplicate logic to such extremes, and the antic pacing was just right. Last but not least, Carl Stalling provided a great score that caught some of the silent movie comedy chase scene feeling of the toon.
I'm 17 and had VHS tapes of the 30s cartoons that had a pinkish greenish or color blind type of visual... I'm not going to lie, I kinda LOVE them!.. This video is only one of those cartoons, I had more... but I think it's because they originally belonged to my mom, and so she let me watch them as a child lol.
4:58-5:01 "Looks like dirty foot a work." Kind of like what Grumpy said in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) when they discover their whole house is clean.
Batgirl is playing snowman hide and seek with Supergirl in the forest. Batgirl gets lost in the woods and stumbles upon the house of the polar bear family, where she is fooling with the radios, the coo-coo-clocks, pianos and everything. The polar bears find Batgirl in one of their beds and chase her away.

Daphne is playing hide and seek with Scooby-Doo in the forest. Daphne gets lost in the woods and stumbles upon the house of the iron golem family, where she is fooling with the radios, the coo-coo-clocks, pianos and everything. The iron golems find Daphne in one of their beds and chase her away.
KAKTUZ40's print has brighter colors, but this print is sharpest and cleanest. Somebody should take the details from this, and combine them with the colors from KAKTUZ40's print, to create an even better print.
@shepherdewan- In all seriousness, though, I don't really see her doing anything that would be classified as nice throughout this thing. She tricks her dog, her facial expression indicating that she knew she was breaking a rule of some kind, breaks all of the bears' things with no remorse for the feelings she probably hurt doing so and laughs at the Mama bear being spanked. (Though that was funny) It doesn't make her a bad kid as she's just a kid and doesn't know better, but how is she nice?
Same here! I still have the VHS today. The real cartoons!
Even though this was made before I existed, it still brings back memories because I watched this on a VHS tape as a little kid.
I knew this existed! Now I have proof that I'm not crazy.
OMG! I remember this! Ahh... the childhood memories lol.
This may be my favorite version of the classic fairy tale!
This is the best quality of the cartoon I have seen. Nice upload.
