    My son is 13 and has a bone age of 17. He’s 6ft tall. I’m worried about him not growing any further. It definitely appears as if his growth has slowed significantly and he is starting to get peach fuzz on his face. He’s been in the 99% percentile for height and weight since birth. We have an appointment with Endocrine but of course it’s like 5 months away. 😫

    Sir my daughter's bone age is 6 years and her actual age is 4 years...also her height is smaller.....what could be done?

      There could be so many reasons for that from simple genetic to issues like precocious puberty, overactive thyroid gland, silver russel syndrome, excessive steroid use. Needs to be properly investigated by a pediatric endocrinologist

    Hi my son is 13 yrs old 3 months his height is 160 cm but he got an x ray pn left wrist and bone age of left wrist is 16 yrs old. Would he be able to grow 2 or 3 inches more?

    • @nrkazmi
      @nrkazmi  8 месяцев назад

      Bone age can be normally within 1-2 years of chronological age on either side and nothing to worry about that. If the epiphyseal plates of bones have not fused fully some further growth can occur

      Thank you for your reply. My question is if the bone age at wrist is estimated about 16 then the long bones like the leg would be the same?

      In the same situation and it concerns me. My sons age is 13 and he’s 6ft tall but his bone age is 17. 😩

      @@bnb0510 be thankful to God your son is 6 ft but for those less than 5 feet 5 inch it's a sad situation.

      @@margaritaquezada3973 completely understand. I’m honestly more concerned that something medically is going on. We’re you able to get answers for your child?
