    ~sounds of Aussie snickering ensue~
    But seriously, boys, you have no idea how much danger you were in there! As much as I find it hilarious to watch foreigners get scared by our wildlife, you also have no idea how many overseas travelers go missing or die here every year by simply wandering off into the bush like that. We might like to play it up and act tough, but the Australian bush 100% deserves its dangerous reputation.
    Simply walking down that path in sandals was your first mistake, especially near water. Brown snakes and red-bellies are prolific and you could have easily copped a bite. I bushwalk in similar areas myself and see them frequently. I hope you had compression bandages in the car!
    I don't know what part of the country you're in during this, but crocodiles in waterways are no joke. One of them could have been less than six feet away from you without you even knowing and by the time they strike it's already too late! Simply going within striking distance of the water without even leaving the shore can get you killed in the blink of an eye.
    Not to mention brown snakes and red-bellies are very good swimmers and I've also nearly bumped into one swimming in rivers!
    Then there's the fact that some shark species come up into freshwater bodies. I literally watched my best friend's dog get taken in a nice, calm river where we had been swimming minutes before. So if that wasn't really a lagoon and there was an inlet somewhere, watch out!
    As for that crab, you could have easily lost a toe.
    And while this might sound paranoid, being around water like that, the mosquitoes here can be vicious! And they can inflict horrible conditions like Ross River Fever. So I hope you were wearing repellent and covering your exposed limbs as much as possible!
    I'm so glad you didn't lose a JOLLY member during these light-hearted shenanigans!
    And for all future visitors, while we might try to scare you with stories of 'drop bears' and killer kangaroos, none of us want to see you come to harm. Please, please, please don't just wander out into any bush land carelessly and without familiarizing yourself with the dangers!

      Don't they literally say they were told how to get there? I imagine someone a fan or another creator showed them a safe way to get there, and then they recorded it once they were all together. Ollie is a goofy guy, certainly, but I don't think he would do something that would put them in serious harm. While no doubt that Australia is a very dangerous place, I imagine the locals know their area best.

    • @lauradon8603
      @lauradon8603 11 месяцев назад

      @@nerdjournalwhile the track in may make been the way to locals go and be "safe" walking through bushland in sandals will get you killed. No local would have advised that. Also the ocean shouldn't be taken lightly. They could easily have missed the tidal changes and either been washed out to sea or stranded.

      Like their is this one beach I went to in Georgia, and their is this little island in the middle of the ocean that you can actually walk to when the tide is low, but as soon as the tide goes high...you're freaking stuck...that has only happened to me once though, and I'm glad that my cousins and I brought our boogie board lol. 😂

    4:28 when I was a kid me and my brother and cousins would do stuff like that all the time. One time we were walking across a very shallow body of water, that was maybe a foot deep max, and all of us suddenly steps off the side of a ledge and fell straight into nine feet of water. It was terrifying.

    4:55 Oh there are hundreds of even better places. I go to Denmark in Western Australia about 6 hours out of Perth every year and the beaches there are the most beautiful places ever (such as Green's Pools). Theres tons of hidden ones too that you have to four wheel drive too but it's totally worth it cause you end up with an incredible beach all to yourself.
