Very well played- the tempo is just right, you work out the middle voices very well with excellent articulation of the melodic line. A very nice Bach transcription- I will learn it myself!
You perform this beautiful piece really well with the right pace on the piano. Some here say you should play it slower, but that will not work with the piano to do so. It is an organ composition, which of course, you can play it slower and with multiple registrations. I am an organist and this piece is in my repertoire, but I have not ever tried it on the piano. You really have captured the right feeling and ethos in this hauntingly beautiful work. this piece evokes so much emotion and both drains and cleanses ones inner self to experience it. When I perform it I actually perspire and have been known to become teary just from the soul-stirring nature of the piece. You really capture the essence of the work in your performance. Your talent and musicality is brilliant. Well done.
Yes, Virgil Fox, who in my opinion, has the best arrangement of this work, plays it slow - and it is so emotional and soul probing, but of course, he plays it on the pipe organ, which can play it more slowly. It simply will not work at a slower pace on the piano. This piece is extremely legato, and the sound decay on the piano would not suit that. This is played perfectly and beautifully on the piano.
Death has no pace but only depth. Death has no face but only tears. Yet it is from this death and with these tears that one enters Light.
Well said. There is so much meaning in those words you penned, Carl. Beautiful.

Thank you so much for your appreciation and understanding
Love this song, big mood. This is my favourite arrangement because the others are painfully slow. Thanks for uploading friend!
it cannot be played too slow on the piano because of the sound length propagation this instrument allows for.
@@gothicrecital Well stated, but you play it perfectly and it is so well articulated and phrased.
That tierce de Picardie at the end is extra meaningful in this piece. Is it a healed heart returning to the world, or the süsser tod?
I think the answer is whatever the hell Evangelion's ending is
Beautiful transcription and perfect tempo!
Do you happen to have the transcription for sale? Would like to play it myself.
C.V.Alkanは聖書の全てを音楽にしたいと言っていました、彼だったらこの1節をどう作曲していたのか...
I think this is more effective much slower, regardless of what Bauer wrote...
Bauer wrote a tempo two times slower then this, it is just unbearable to play the piano(that unlike the organ has a decaying sound) in such tempi.

I think this sounds good in Times two and the original
Lepo je. Al izvođenje u orkestarskoj verziji Stokovskog je još lepše.
