I was active in the business the first year, and also had a manager. How you run yours depends on many factors. Can you afford to leave your job right away? Is it better for you to manage the business while it’s getting up and running. Does the cost of a manager still allow you to make profit?
I have owned two Nathan hotdogs fransise many years ago. Most of my life I did start ups and build pita for call centers off and on shore. I am not that young as I use be but, I thank something turn key would be better for me then pass on down to daughter.

If you buy an existing practice that is successful, you're saying you would want to become the Franchisor?? If the goal is to become a franchisor, then you'd probably want to have a number of corporate stores that have proven to be successful in order to effectively recruit franchisees. Hey Isaac, don't get hung up on that part- super easy. Whatever state your in just google LLC in your state. Make sure you go to the official website of the state, and you can usually file the LLC for pretty cheap around $100 or so. I do franchise coaching if you need help with business stuff. How old would you have to buy a franchise? Overall UPS is a reputable franchise that is almost everywhere. Here's what you want to ask and find out...what areas do UPS stores succeed in? Demographics, residential, commercial, etc. Does that location area have the necessary ingredients to support a successful store?

I wouldn’t do a fast food franchise at all. Very low profit margins, and very expensive to start up. I definitely would advise to stay in a financial range you feel comfortable in. Get your first win under your belt in business and it helps a lot.

@@TariqJohnson 😄 I was invited to run the day to day operations and I felt really comfortable with in front of the house and back of the house. I do have 15 years working at various restaurants. I believe the area of improvement for me is marketing because I just have a fear of going up to random people and talking to them. I have applied for a SBA loan for $450k that required 20% down. I want to be a semi-absence owner because I still love my Accounting day job. Based on this information I provided do you think it is still a good idea to go through with it. I have anxiety because this is uncharted territories for me. I have a family that I still have to provide for as well.
Solid. I'd stay away from franchise brokering unless you have owned franchises yourself. Medical industry is highly competitive, but if you can crack through- could be huge.

Hey Kathleen, the best thing is to find a re-sale franchise. One that's already producing profits, and enough to create an income for you and be able to support the SBA loan payments. There are a bunch of business buying websites that will show what's available in your area.

@@TariqJohnson 😄 I was invited to run the day to day operations and I felt really comfortable with in front of the house and back of the house. I do have 15 years working at various restaurants. I believe the area of improvement for me is marketing because I just have a fear of going up to random people and talking to them.
I have applied for a SBA loan for $450k that required 20% down. I want to be a semi-absence owner because I still love my Accounting day job. Hey Kathleen, the best thing is to find a re-sale franchise. One that's already producing profits, and enough to create an income for you and be able to support the SBA loan payments.
