Erick Arévalo Its sim arcade like gran turismo 5 and 6 and also like shift 2 . Simulators are Asseto corsa , I racing and pcars 2 ( yeah not pcars one because of the awful gravity and contact system )

To answer your question. Yes, this is like a sim in some ways.
The handling model and physics in my honest opinion are very sim like, with the suspension etc. drastically determining if you'll be able to survive the corner, considering your setup a small bump in the track can send you flying off the asphalt and into a wall, its Definetly a sim-feel with no assists etc.
It still has a arcade feel with the easy driving preset/settings but still has a very simulative and hard driving model.
But, in short. It's technically speaking, sim-arcade. Definetly Reccomend it if you want to have some arcadey fun with a simulator feel, but not so much as to where it feels like you're in Mario Kart, or where you feel like you require a full on setup with 3 moniters and a cockpit. Would definetly still reccomend this game even today. Its pretty fun when you get into it, though grows boring and stale when you get everything unlocked. Unless you go online which can be a blast if you're not matched with rammers etc.
