resin really took him out (much like Ferraro and Ballard), always liked his game was not intimidated by anyone. PBA had a lot of good 2nd tier guys like him who were competitive and made good money back in the 80s and early 90s and gave the tour lots of depth. Ironic about resin taking him out because he might have been the first ever to throw resin on TV (1991 TPC, used an x-calibur).
Good old times, when PBA telecasts were not excessively commercialized by having banners and advertising panels all over the place, when bowlers wore simple shirts, with almost no advertisement on it. It sadens me how drastically the business has changed over the last 20-30 years.
Oh man, I have been looking for this forever. PDW throwing plastic up the ditch....Bakes swinging the lane. I'll have to order something else from you out of gratitude.
Not a PDW fan, however,he got screwed on the rerack. They said it was too late to request one,yet everyone clearly saw him walking back from his shot on lane 35 and requesting a rerack on 34.
Was Pete actually denied a rerack? After Chris Schenkel acknowledged that Pete had requested a rerack, ABC immediately showed a replay of Pete’s 3rd frame strike. During the replay I thought it sounded like a rerack was being done. There was also no mention of a rerack being denied.

I've seen so many Mark Baker losses on RUclips so it's great to see him win a title.
Tony Westlake had a reign of terror for a a while there. ...pretty damn consistent

17:53 - Pete Weber ranting to Westlake about not getting a re-rack. Westlake doesn't care.

Yes, the good old days. No hootin' and hollerin. Gentlemanly behavior. Crowds didn't go crazy. What's happened?
No names on the back of the shirt
Tony Westlake and Pete Weber have bowled some exciting matches

I've bowled at this house. It has an underground parking lot. You have to walk up two flights of stairs with your equipment.😂🤪🤣
again I love your channel but I don't understand why you put the results right in the description
Mark Baker makes me think of Joey on Full House.
SATURDAY MAY 26, 1990.
Voss had converted 7/10 later on Tv.
Tony had a pretty good 3 yr run.
Mark Baker was hoping the second half of his career would be better...this was his last show.
the first match was exciting and close
mark baker threw a clutch strike in the 9th frame to end the 3 year drought to win the pba oregon open
Brian Voss served in the Military.

Pete battled a Drug addiction mid career and came through in a better place.
A lot of bowlers did the dust in the 80s and 90s. Pete was just well known for it…
