This is my first time commenting on ANY video on YT. This was awesome. I’ve done so many routines on other channels and have ended up with a grumpy back and searching for the next video fix. This is a thorough and common sense routine. I’m not sure if it’s the order of the exercises or what, but it’s the best I’ve ever tried. Thank you!
Degen spine and facet has me not surfing at 50 after 35 years every day….this has become the last 15 minutes of my daily yoga amd its definitely starting to help🙏🙏thanks so much
I’m 34 with psoriatic arthritis and just got some x rays at my chiropractor and have major ddd in my lower back. My pain has been terrible, but 4 days of this routine and it is virtually gone! Thank you!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Started today. Thank you. Well see where we this takes me. Did crossfit. For 10 years . Loved it but cannot do that anymore. Sucks but I'm not done. This felt good.
Wowww! I just got diagnosed with minor ddd but the pain has been active for weeks. These exercises are incredible!! Doing them daily!! Thank you sooo much!!
I was dealing with excruciating pain in my left leg, achilles tendon and lower back for over a year. I was having to take pain medicine multiple times a day. I’ve been doing this everyday for two weeks and my pain has dropped from a 10 to a 2. This has been a life saver
Thanks for this great program. I am a 72 years young bowler, and suddenly I had hamstring, it band, lower back pain. My bowling was suffering as I was! Finally the doctor did X-rays and saw some DDD. I started physical therapy and the exercises are/were helpful. 6 months of various things. But I wanted to do more at home ( although several exercises are repeats with variations). You do the smooth moves instead of going to one position and holding for a while. Both types are fine, for different purposes. Now, I turn on your video, easily stretch out, and feel great. Back to bowling with no pain. Of course, it’s not perfect, nor a cure, but I’m able to continue what I live to do. I’ve recommended this to my bowling pals.
Was told I have DDD at 25, back fully gives out about once a year which is horrible mentally, physically, financially. First time it happened I was 13 and the last time I was 10/10 pain, saw stars and black for a few seconds, full grown man scream it was bad. I’ve seen results with chiro work and massage but ultimately the relief is very temporary. It’s been 3 years since that last one thank god but I just never feel right. Been using this video for a few weeks and man I haven’t been able to function without pain in over 10 years. 32 now and refuse to take this as a life sentence. Thanks for the simplicity it’s easy to follow everyday.
Sounds a lot like my story! I was 25 when I was diagnosed as well. Currently 32 as well. Have about 2 flare ups a year and it is tough! I workout everyday doing like exercises and gentle strength training so when you get the flare ups, it’s very depressing! Sending good thoughts your way for healing! ❤ good luck!
Thank you. In this short exercise I already feel like I can move better. I could get off the floor without using the walker! Hopefully I will be able to get out of bed easier.
I was so depressed after my doc essentially said my only option was disc fusions. L4,L5 and S1 in rough shape but you give me hope. I just had a son and I need my mobility back. Thank you! I’m gonna stick with it. Night one in the books.
Definitely improvement. I broke down and got a shot, not proud of it, but I needed some relief. It’s helping and allowing me to exercise more effectively.
Dx'd with DDD and found your video excellent. Question: are any of these exercises or those in your 20 minute video contraindicated for SI joint pain? If so, which ones. Thank you again for your videos!
I was recently having acute low back pain, X-ray showed degenerative disc disease L3-L4-L5 n having taken toradol injection n muscle relaxers still don’t feel Fully recovered. I’m glad I came across this video n will try these n hopefully should see improvements. Thanks again
Hello there. Your videos look great and I'm going to start doing them but what other stretches can I do for partial tear in the gluteus maximus. Pls help. Can't sleep
I know these exercises, and am glad you recommend them for DDD, as I wasn’t sure if they are good. I have scoliosis as well. I think my scoliosis caused my DDD. Just can’t find anyone to help me fix the scoliosis. Sometimes I’m in a lot of pain.
Hi Dr. Bairdi really like this video and you mentioned in it that you’ll be posting another one slightly harder… Have you done that? If so, can you let me know?? Thanks,
Thank you for this video. Found it on time as I am diagnosed with DDD and also a disc bulge . I have a question. Is it alright if I climb stairs? Lying down on the floor to do exercise? Please let me know. Thanks.
@@joancurts1844 I usually recommend 4x a week and mix in some other low impact movement on other days. But if you’re feeling good and want to try it everyday you should be ok. 💪🏻💪🏻
I'm only 22 and have been diagnosed with DDD since 19. my doctors refused to acknowledge the amount of pain I'm in on the daily, I'm here to do something about it since they won't 😭
i have grade 2 spondylolythesis. When I perform a bridge exercise, I do a posterior tilt (and hold it) prior to extending the hips. Is this, OK? If I don't I feel like a have too much lordosis and discomfort.
Hi, thanks for the video! Is the same routine recommended for herniated disc in a young man? I’m not sure whether the rounding of the back in Cat-Cow (the Cat part) is helpful to me - it doesn’t cause any pain but I’m worried it may worsen the disc bulge. I’ve been doing Cobra stretches instead to “push” the disc back into place. I look forward to hearing your thoughts, thanks again
Hey! This routine is NOT for a herniated disc. Would recommend seeing a doctor to address herniation before starting exercise routine. Could look I to Directional Preference Protocols.
This is great but it’s frustrating… I keep looking for a full body routine for to ing, but either they strain the back, or if you include degenerative disc disease in the description, you get exercises that are ONLY for that, not that take that into consideration. I’m not having a flare-up, I’m trying to avoid one and get some exercise.
I have had right side pain and I just can't get any relief, I have been diagnosed with a degenerative this in my lower back, my back does ace ,but the pain in my lower side is very troublesome, I thought if might be a pulled muscle ,have done several exercise for PIRIFORMS/lower back pain ,with no relief. What's your suggestions. I am sick and tired of taken prescriptions etc. with no relief also. Appreciate a reply Thank you
Every vid I’ve watched doesn’t show muscle building workouts … just gives calisthenics workouts… and I get u can build muscle with calisthenics… but it’s not the same… My question I guess is… if I have DDD can I build muscle and create a bodybuilding physique? Or am I just SOL and now I must just maintain the body that I have? Pretty much….If I look like “Snoop Dogg” can I build myself to look like “The Rock”, if I have DDD, or No?

I couldn't say without a full exam. You might look into your SI Joint and see is pain is originating from there.
How do I watch without ads? Thank you
You have to get youtube premium 😭 they've blocked adblock now
Ty❤❤❤❤
In this exercises one is dead bug?
I plank every day for 1 minute. Borderline still not enough to keep it under control recommend Side plank as well if you can find the time.
What do you do if you can't kneel, no amount of pillows or cushioning helps
You would have to skip anything in the kneeling position.
Is that twist safe for lumbar herniated disc though?
I would seek a in person treatment for a herniated disc.
Id add one thing. Using a reverse hyper machine
Awesome
Thank you so very much!!
Are these exercises also safe for a herniated disk?
@@BreeWood-r5l hard to say without knowing more about the herniation. I would be careful. You could try and if there is pain then stop.
I’m 27 with ddd. I’ve had it since 2017 😭
Recently diagnosed please tell me it get a little better ?😢
@ hey bro, there is no cure for it unfortunately, best you can do is exercise and strengthen the muscles to help support your back.
I can't even get up into the plank let alone hold it
I’ve just been diagnosed with degenerative spine disease 😢
Most people have some level of degeneration in their spine after 30. Key is to keep moving!
The side planks trigger a lot of pain on my one side, 😢
If everything else feels good just take out the side planks and work on the other areas.
Me too, I have an annular tear and the twist and side plank is no good for me at all

Pretty much….If I look like “Snoop Dogg” can I build myself to look like “The Rock”, if I have DDD, or No?
Would depend on a lot of factors including age, severity of DDD, program, exercise form, etc.
You might be able to do bench presses starting off with low weights and increase repeptions and see if it causes pain.
Anyone had negative affects from this?
Pretty sure you should decompress the spine first
Sir after these exercise what to do next for strength
