@@Banana_John they should yeah, i think its related to the fact that almost all anime is released for tv in japan so they have to add the dimming by law, no idea if they could release the undimmed version for streaming sites like crunchy, maybe in the future
The new villain kaiju is the my favorite modern anime villain so far. His menace and mystery are so amazing and his fights are all bangers, especially his later ones.
Manga readers know exactly what I'm talking about and I'm so sad that we'll have to wait till season 2 for it.
I'm not sure if you thought that but, no, this new Kaiju impersonating a human, the one that's in the clean up crew right now is not Kaiju No. 8, that's Kafka. But he could be numbered too, if they find out about him. 👍

A comment actually peaked my intwrest someone pointed out that he still had the suit on and im quite curious if it's a spoiler don't say anything ofc but does the suit double his power while in the kaiju state ? Although it is 0.01, he should still be a little bit stronger by that logic even though it's prob not noticeable but still im actually asking if anyone knows if the suit adds to the extra power he gets from his kaiju state

people thinking too much about opening being a spoiler these days..that`s pretty sad...they should just enjoy the song while not watching the opening scene.
So how does he fight in the defense force without transforming since he can’t use his suit? Spoilers are fine.
He just uses his knowledge about kaijus from his work and gives useful information to everyone in the squad to defeat them easily
They don’t really show Kafka without transformation / just in his suit contributing to fights really. Because he can’t. He’ll just be offscreen support or cleaning up the little guys while leaving the big boys to those who has the potential in the suits.
Fr, fuck the dimming, ruins so many scenes ngl. I still enjoy them obviously but this would look 100x better without dimming just like the Toji vs Dagon fight, ruined by dimming
