Primus performing Over The Falls live at Enmore Theatre in Sydney on 28 February 2011, exclusively on Moshcam.
Primus is an American rock band formed in 1984, currently composed of vocalist and bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde, and drummer Jay Lane. Primus originally formed with Claypool, Todd Huth and Lane, with the latter two departing the band before Primus's debut release Suck on This, being replaced by drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander and Larry LaLonde. During this lineup, the band released four studio albums: Frizzle Fry, featuring "John the Fisherman", Sailing the Seas of Cheese, featuring "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver" and "Tommy the Cat", Pork Soda featuring "My Name Is Mud" and Tales from the Punchbowl, featuring their most commercially successful single, "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver". In 1996, Alexander left Primus and was replaced by Bryan "Brain" Mantia, with whom they would later release Brown Album and Antipop before placing Primus on hiatus in 2000. They were also known for creating the original theme for "South Park" in 1997.

coolest guitar solo ever to come out of the man the myth the legend Ler
The distortion is so "wide" yet precise. Don't know how to say it well.
I love the sound of this sound especially on the Brown recording. LES rings out that hiccup note with such cool twang.
I love how he leads bass with a nice banjo-esk fatty tone to which Ler can noodle it up all the while as the drums dance so dynamically yet with a solid marching bayonet that is my favoriteband of that Era, and of coarse also Jane's Addiction!
It's a shame, that Ler vanishes in Claypools shadow... He is so underrated, but a wonderful guitarist.

Brain's drumming on The Brown Album was understated, but brilliant. Jay does a good job capturing what Brain did on the original recording.

Jay Lane is the least recognized Primus drummer. God DAMN! every single fucking drummer Primus has ever been with has been fucking awesome. Than being said, I am partial to Tim "herb" Alexander.
Fadi Ayat agreed I love Herbs sound but I have a soft spot for Jayski, with him being the true original drummer and all.
Ler’s gotta be one of the most underrated guitarists out there. Guy has been solid for the past 40 years.
I luv primus they r so different from other bands which makes them so unique and I can't get enough of there music thanks guy's!!!!
Ler stands out just as much as Les at this point as I now understand how important his quiet moments are and also thrashing raging hardcore parts are necessary for the other parts to have meaning. to get this much power out of a trio is very difficult. they do it effortlessly..
