NOTHING compares to owning my small race shop, but I do miss the days at the dealership when I got to service the new hottest bikes, ie the 6 cylinder CBX, the 1100F, and even the first of the CR250R and 500 motocross bikes.

They have a hybrid gear-chain head design but the valves still require periodic adjustments.

I'm not sure I like the entire tank to be clear coat like it is. Still wouldn't complain if I had one.
It is not cleared. It's just matte finish.
@@RideQuick seems like a clear coat over the aluminum... At least that's my experience on my Ducati R.

So if all they do is take the wrapper off and charge the battery...why the hell do dealers charge like 200 for prep?? In the old days they actually had to assemble things a bit. Not now.

Man, I'm so tired of the issues with my f3 800 that I might consider trading it in for one of these. Well, more likely the v2 since I don't have the necessary skills to keep myself alive on the v4

The 1299 hits harder down low, but once the V4's revs come up...!
“They are running the real gas”. Yep. We in America run the garbage 10% ethanol alcohol & 90% gas but get charge the full price. I would rather pay extra for the pure gas than keep running that garbage of ethanol gas. Great bike by the way.

That exhaust is not DOT-compliant (as with most aftermarket systems) so it does not come on the bike.

It's designed to have them and use them like most of the top sportbikes now. Ducati is the only one that decided to make them stupid huge and stick out.
