Vite has been catching a good momentum these days and is giving a rough time to Webpack. Do you think Vite will be the death of Webpack? Can it outshine the amazing bundler Webpack has been? In this video, let's discuss what Vite is, why it is better than Webpack and how you can make a switch! @@LearnWithNeeraj777 surprisingly, there is 4 developers actually caring for pronunciation right above your comment. So your statement is obviously false.
Looks like it'll soon overtake webpack. I've been using vite for all of my projects for more than a year now and the experience is smooth af. Also the space occupied on the disk by the vite project is less than webpack (atleast for preact/react).
My companies web Pak build for our multi page react application can sometimes take my computer six minutes to boot from cold with web pack. Can’t wait to try out using this verse I TE bundler thing during some sort of hack day when I can get a day to do whatever I want
What webpack do in terminal, vite is doing in browser just sounds like a new fancy name. Of course vite has benefits of traspiling as we go but it does not really make huge difference, specially for projects that are not that big.
But actually working with webpack in dev mode is very fast too. Even in big project (like 50k sloc) re-build takes only a couple of seconds. And for production build there is no difference.

btw it's spelled like white but real pronounciation is veet
The first thing vite documentation says that it is pronounced as "vit" not "white"
More like veet
South Indian pronounce v (“vee”) as “whee”
It’s something that they have a hard time pronouncing just like Koreans can’t pronounce certain words
@@privatelearning6825 even I'm South Indian lol
@@privatelearning6825 joker
And to add to your statement, some south indian languages however make it easier to pronounce other languages, like kannada.
I have to say that this is an excellent video. No messing around, straight into the information and really well explained. Nice work.
Glad :)
I really like parcel and vite over webpack( BTW its pronounce more like VEET/VIT).
Earlier wasn't sure about these concepts. Now at least I can speak for a min on this. Thank you. I watched this video till the end.
2yrs later. This is still the best explanation. Trust me i've checked😮💨
I have been using Vite since the october of 2021 and o boi it's fast af and I have been wanting to share this with others. Now you did it. Thank you.
Thank you for this. You are by far the best front-end tooling teacher and communicator I have come across.
the whiteboard was really helpful, thanks
how about a follow up on how to replace an existing webpack project
I’m pretty sure its pronounced “v-it”. It means fast in french (im guessing since vue means view in french)
Actually it’s pronounced jit
Actually it’s pronounced “sheet”
I'm french, and yes, it's "vee-tt"
Developers don't need to give a f about pronunciation

Vite + Vue 3 =
I watched this video till the end, Thanks for the elaborate explanation 🙏

" If you new here live a like " background theme video has changed it's new one ♥️🔥
Thanks for starting explaining where most people know before going advance onwards.
My companies web Pak build for our multi page react application can sometimes take my computer six minutes to boot from cold with web pack. Can’t wait to try out using this verse I TE bundler thing during some sort of hack day when I can get a day to do whatever I want
All good, just one thing 😂 it's pronounced as Veet, not Vite. Yeah ik an Core team member corrected me in their discord 😂
Why do you always have click bait titles for your vids, makes you look B tier compared to other RUclips tuts channels, even tho your content is A tier
Yeah, I watched the video till end. And in the next project I definitely use Vite.
I watched this video till the end and I don't regret it
I watched this video till the end. It was very useful and interesting.
I tried out vite ..and it's blazing fast comapared to create react app ...thank you so much for intro vite to us
Wow I wasnt aware of this , great !!
Soo there is no need for dynamic imports aka code splitting
when you are building app with vite right ?
Amazingly BUNDLED video!

Might as well say Rollup!
Thank you dear
I ran into some webpack problems a couple of weeks ago 😵🔫
The official docs says you need to pronounce it as "veet"
Webpack is upping the ante with plugins like module federation
Say something about bun, it is faster than esbuild
Laravel is now officially use Vite.
What webpack do in terminal, vite is doing in browser just sounds like a new fancy name. Of course vite has benefits of traspiling as we go but it does not really make huge difference, specially for projects that are not that big.
I watched video till the end...😅😅
I thought vite only provide start script
Would love to use Vite (pr. veet) but it doesn’t produce a manifest.json on dev mode so it’s unusable with my backend.
But actually working with webpack in dev mode is very fast too. Even in big project (like 50k sloc) re-build takes only a couple of seconds. And for production build there is no difference.
you havent tried vite yet
So Vite is just Angular Ivy
also depracted with ng v13.
Hi thanks for your content, but the pronunciation is VIT not VAIT.
White is great, it trumps Jetpack.
React-router-dom doesn't work on Vite after building, This is a big issue
C'est vite, mon ami
I came to learn Vite and learned white instead xd
the spelling of vite is not as in white but is in witty (without the y) - mind you: vite is franch and meens fast
Its veet(wheat) not white.....
A french word means quick....
Wrong it's not pronounced viite, it's vit
Module federation ?
It's Veeeet
BTW it's veet not wite
Is he saying "White"?
Veet
pronounced like wheet
Why you saying white, it's the French word thats pronounced Veet
cool
Vite doesnt support module federation
It does, with vite plugin federation
Love it
Parcel is also a great bundler

Veet not white 😁
Pronounced like veet - it's French for fast
Что этот индус себе возомнил?)

clearly title is just for vues 🙂
Yup
it's vit not vaite lol
The way you pronounce "T" hurts my ears.
Veet
