I’m not usually a K-Pop fan (Lovebites, Aldious and Rolling Quartz are more my thing) however this song is so beautiful, very catchy and the dance moves are just intoxicating.
As a ONCE I don't normally come out of Twiceland, but not only does ITZY have a special place in my heart, yes starting with Chaeryeon's connection to Twice but because this song is special. ITZY in my opinion has always had an identity problem, except that they can dance. Well that label is now becoming toxic because you really need to be able to sing, thing is ITZY could also sing but that's not their identity. You like Gold, to me it's a good song but like ITZY themselves it was all over the place. This song is laser focused and it's vocal heavy and it has an adult theme to it. I hope the album is more of this it will put ITZY back on top where they should have been and maybe they can use it as their focus in the future. I also have a view of this song as not about ITZY being the imaginary friend but that your inner self is the imaginary friend and it's about what Lia just went though, you have to learn to love yourself and once you do all the sticks and stones that try to hurt you can't anymore the ice cube is your inner peace healing your outer wounds. The fact that it starts with Lia at the center says a lot as well, they need her voice to tie all the other pieces together. A truly beautiful song. ITZY5 is best.
