You serve food in serving bowls, platters etc and put them on the lazy suzi, so instead of passing the food bowls or platters you just turn the lazy suzi around and then people can serve themselves and put food into their individual plates. Hope my explanation is clear enough. And you don’t have to remove the lazy Suzi from the table.

Do not remove the table top dude, all meals/ dishes place there everyone serve them selves by turning. You don't have to pass the dish to someone.
