It's a bit sad that these videos get that little attention. She was an amazing singer. I think I said it before, I am not that much of a fan of her music, even though I don't think it is bad, it's just not my daily favorite. However, it's a nice mixture of different musical flavors that is exiting. But even if one doesn't like the music at all, she still has an amazing voice that deserves some attention.
Recently, I fell in love with 'Grand Canyon', a cover by Brass Against with Indian vocalist Roopa Mahadevan. (It's originally by Puscifer, a side project of Maynard James Keenan of Tool.) It's sonically a really weird mixture but it's fun to listen to. It has a similar vibe: east meets west. 🕊️
