I believe you’re right since they don’t have proper equipment to blast the music from while filming. Another reason he could be there is to mark center since they’re moving around in the choreography so much. Bc the set location is so barren, he probably moved around with the camera (when necessary) and marked it with the red umbrella in order to keep formations straight.
Angela Faye yes I think it was to keep the direction of the performance as the camera operator moved around.... there were times when they were directly facing the camera when he put the umbrella down.... 🤟🏼💜

They tried recording again and again until they liked the results. Also it was cold as hell and they pretended to be weather reporters.

Basically they kept saying “one more time, to be more time” to get the perfect take. They do have several videos that look like one takes and are actually 2-3 long takes beautiful cut together with a bit of green screen magic. But this is their true one take video. I feel like a lot of Kpop groups have that one video. EXO’a “growl” is probably the most iconic as it’s the song that blew them up and years later is still incredible

If you ever notice in the dance practice videos like Idol etc, theirs always something marked in the exact middle whether its a line tape, water bottle or a piece of plastic. The guy with the red umbrella waving, is helping them find center while their dancing. As a dancer it’s difficult to find center when your “Stage” is constantly moving. So in order for them to remain on beat and in sync with each other they need to have an established center. Plus BTS transitions a lot in their dances and they need to make sure they are in the right place at the right time.

The person on Jimin was V aka Taehyung not Jungkook. The two of them are bestfriends/soulmates and even have a song together in the latest album called 'Friends' which is where they basically take a trip down memory lane and the cute incidents they were both apart of. They confide in each other and trust each other alot. Vmin's friendship is indeed extremely wholesome 🥺

The fandom was a complete mess when this video came out tbh, we could see from the MV that the boys were probs kinda cold when filming, but we didn't think the weather was so bad while they were rehearsing!!! This MV rly made us appreciate their hard work so much more -- like we already knew just how much hard work they put in to making every scene perfect before this, but man. Working with that same level of perfectionism even in such weather/conditions was really..... it really shows their dedication man. You mentioned you didn't think it was so foggy (4:21) but if I'm not wrong, the behind-the-scenes camera lens just got really misty bc of the weather lmao, I don't think the actual weather was foggy. I understand you wanted to see the whole MV being shot from another pov, but these shooting videos are for fans to know more of the members' feelings and thoughts while shooting and to show their antics when the camera isn't on them hahaha so I hope you understand! I feel like I've seen this with subtitles - maybe Bangtan Subs used to have one up? I'm not sure, sorry you had to watch without. That's V on Jimin's back, but you're right - their friendship is something else! The whole maknae line (the youngest members) so V, Jimin, and Jungkook are really affectionate together but V and Jimin actually have declared each other best friends and soulmates they're so adorable.
The guy with the red umbrella, my best guess would be that he’s one of the choreographers. Thus, his job would be to pay attention to the choreography while the boys are performing, and to stand center so that when the boys keep shifting around they’re aware of where to line themselves up for the routine

The MV was filmed at a beach area which quite far from Seoul and the bad weather was making it hard for them to shoot. However , the bad weather only adds to the aesthetic of the mv because Save Me is that kind of mv, dark, gloomy and grainy.... They obviously retook so many time for the one shot filming and the crew choose the best out of it....
My guess is the guy with the red umbrella is their marker for which way’s the front and the exact center so they don’t lose their spot and blocking. It’s hard to keep track of the center when they keep moving in and out of the shot and when the cameraman is constantly moving as well.

The person on Jimin was V aka Taehyung not Jungkook. The two of them are bestfriends/soulmates and even have a song together in the latest album called 'Friends' which is where they basically take a trip down memory lane and the cute incidents they were both apart of. They confide in each other and trust each other alot. Vmin's friendship is indeed extremely wholesome 🥺

Omg I loved your reaction!!! The fandom was a complete mess when this video came out tbh, we could see from the MV that the boys were probs kinda cold when filming, but we didn't think the weather was so bad while they were rehearsing!!! This MV rly made us appreciate their hard work so much more -- like we already knew just how much hard work they put in to making every scene perfect before this, but man. Working with that same level of perfectionism even in such weather/conditions was really..... it really shows their dedication man.
You mentioned you didn't think it was so foggy (4:21) but if I'm not wrong, the behind-the-scenes camera lens just got really misty bc of the weather lmao, I don't think the actual weather was foggy.
I understand you wanted to see the whole MV being shot from another pov, but these shooting videos are for fans to know more of the members' feelings and thoughts while shooting and to show their antics when the camera isn't on them hahaha so I hope you understand! Although, I agree, it would be super cool to see it!!

That's V on Jimin's back, but you're right - their friendship is something else! The whole maknae line (the youngest members) so V, Jimin, and Jungkook are really affectionate together but V and Jimin actually have declared each other best friends and soulmates they're so adorable.

Thus, his job would be to pay attention to the choreography while the boys are performing, and to stand center so that when the boys keep shifting around they’re aware of where to line themselves up for the routine
I know there's an English sub one somewhere. I remember them talking alot about re shooting because they kept messing up. I think one bit they are like "RM what the hell are u doing with ur legs there" and there's parts that they pretend to be weather men talking about how crap the weather is and how cold it is haha

The MV was filmed at a beach area which quite far from Seoul and the bad weather was making it hard for them to shoot. However , the bad weather only adds to the aesthetic of the mv because Save Me is that kind of mv, dark, gloomy and grainy.... They obviously retook so many time for the one shot filming and the crew choose the best out of it....

My guess is the guy with the red umbrella is their marker for which way’s the front and the exact center so they don’t lose their spot and blocking. It’s hard to keep track of the center when they keep moving in and out of the shot and when the cameraman is constantly moving as well.
