The x4 unboxed full sovereign and x1 half sovereign + the 5 Pound 1887 Gold coins are worth roughly £2600 for just there weight in gold at the time this episode was aired. There are 3 another gold coins and 7 silver coin. personally I wouldn't of taken the offer. She would get more if she took it to a bullion dealer. I would be looking for something more like £4000 at the time of filming, Even more in today's price.
The 5 pound 1887 coin is valued at 3, 400 pounds if it is uncirculated. I don't know when it was filmed. I thought that the set would have fetched far more.
I sent items to the site that mr Dickinson advertises , and was not satisfied with their offer , and as promised they sent me back the items except one , the item I had questioned about their offer price , totally dissapointed will never deal or trust them again , p.s. since I complained on the net they removed me from their site ,
That deal for the 1887 set was completely ridiculous. Them coins are not simply bullion and are highly collectable especially in high grade condition. It’s hard to see condition from the glimpse of the set but it I’ve seen 1887 red cased specimen sets sell for £5k+ alone and these coins looked uncirculated meaning they could have been worth a lot more. The expert advice should have been far clearer, these coins are not just bullion but have significant numismatic value. Sorry but looked like a terrible deal.
Someone made money out of the deal ; and it wasn't the seller . Why they have not thought of taking their coins to be valued by a numismatic dealer is beyond me. He reminds me of a used car salesman.
Should have seen the episode I watched earlier with a guy selling a 1970s watch (one of the first LED kinds) and it was scratched to high he'll and a no name.....now that guy thought he had something more than he did, think it brought 40 or 50 quid but he acted like it was worth it's weight in gold or something 😜
Doesn't know what to do with them, lying around noone looking at them...try returning anything you have to First Nations people in NT. Making a profit off stolen goods...shame on you and shame on the show!
What a bloke! From fraud to ripping off pensioners he's done the lot and got rewarded with a BBC contract! Just the right type of reprobate for a BBC contract I guess.
The 1887 set alone was worth around 7000 if ate proofs they are easy 10,000 set if sold as numismatics . They should not be melted theses r special collectors coons with real value.
They explained it was not a proof set and had been collected as individual circulated coins, so they don't have a premium as a set. The dealer sold on to a collector at a modest profit.
Saving silver & gold coins are always good for a rainy day!
I bought 3 Gold Britannias yesterday.

You know there's a problem when Fish and Chips costs a tenner.
I know, just when I fancied to treat myself, I lost appetite.
A tenner there 18 quid here in Scotland 🏴
That girl at the start is like don’t touch me
Yes I thought that....
creepy
Always worth watching.
Always like in 100 percent of the time? For me about 85 percent.
Loved them coins they were awesome
You'd be struggling to get fish and chips for a tenner these days
I thought exactly the same

Someone expects more than he paid for a modern watch with dubious appeal....he got what was coming after refusing a very generous offer.
Cheap tat

What about key dates
I love Tim and his effete mannerism and hot gestures with virile men is sensuous.
I hope David doesn't interfere too much and make the dealers pay over the estimated amount
Those coins are worth over 5x as much today
5:25..not everyone will see the joke here about the 1933 penny, it's extremely rare.
I wondered about that.
Was it fuck s good deal
Stewart is fairest one there other dealers tight wads
I can go 200 bucks and not a penny more, i take all the risks
We don’t have bucks in the U.K.
We have pounds sterling.
It is wrong when a person from Britian feels it's okay to sell that which in all intents and purposes an aboriginal death notice.
Doesn't know what to do with them, lying around noone looking at them...try returning anything you have to First Nations people in NT. Making a profit off stolen goods...shame on you and shame on the show!
All th3se " Campie " dealers
Counting money is boring.
money has no value you fools
The way they slowly lay out each note on the table is pure cringe and put me right off.
The lot of them are con merchants! (The dealers that is)
What a bloke! From fraud to ripping off pensioners he's done the lot and got rewarded with a BBC contract! Just the right type of reprobate for a BBC contract I guess.
Well said 👍
This is an itv programme.
Too dramatic to be taken seriously, tv crap as usual.
