I have the thermion XL50 on order and I can’t wait to get it and start testing it out

Will there be an update for your scopes that don’t have an internal rangefinder?
I have a couple of the Thermion 2 XP 50’s, which don’t have built-in internal rangefinders because I wanted to do field sweeps with a monocular instead of a rifle barrel. To that end, I also have 2 Axion 2 LRF XG 35’s, so no need for a LRF within the scope. Any ballistics support coming eventually for those of us that have your Axion monoculars to scan and determine range?
It would be just a simple mathematical table that could be transferred from the Stream app to the riflescope, and the shooter uses the dial to select the distance.
Please support your long time customers too that don’t have an LRF scope, but do have the same capabilities using your monoculars.

Got mine to pair. Sequence - 1. scope off, phone off, turn scope on, set bluetooth on scope to on. start phone insure blue tooth is on. set pairing on scope, open app on phone, follow screen directions, pairing should occur and you should get a 4 digit code on your scope, enter the 4 digits into the app. You should be ready to go. However, I found many more bugs in the app!

So my question is how can I use this with my XQ50 PRO without the range finder on the scope

    • @PulsarVision
      @PulsarVision  4 месяца назад

      Hi! Please follow these steps:
      1. connect your non-LRF riflescope to the Stream Vision Ballistics mobile application
      2. create up to ten ballistic profiles and upload them to the scope.
      3. After uploading the profiles, disconnect from the app, go to the long menu of the device and select one of the profiles.
      4. Then switch to the short menu and manually input the preferred distance to the target.
      5. Now the ballistic calculations will be made inside the riflescope and the suggested point of aim will be displayed on your scope’s screen.

I purchased my XP50 pro LRF about 2 years ago. I like it. This new firmware and app seem like a great idea. BUT it does not work. I installed both the firmware and the app. Continuously get a "red flashing screen" in the scope when I try to use the new LRF BC parameter. I talked to Pulsar and sent my unit back under warranty for a fix. After 4 weeks of no communication I called. After another 10 days or so Pulsar decided to send me a new XP50 pro LRF. Well I have the same problem. The app also has bugs all over the place and changes my parameters to metric when saving the profiles. I am an old guy but was a software developer and programmer during my early career. In my humble opinion this version of the product is not yet ready for release.

I think this is really neat idea, but I have some suggestions on the implementation. First, why not build this into the current Stream Vision app? Let me store all of these attributes for each cartridge AND rifle as a 'zero' or 'sight-in.' I'm sure that the app can generate and store holdover/under in a table from 0 to X yards, and then once the distance is ranged the right figure is read from the table and a new line added to the vertical cross hair. That's how it works, right?
Updating the Stream Vision app instead of having a separate app means I can connect to my Trail 2 LRF that doesn't support Bluetooth, just WiFi. But this functionality could readily be added to a variety of scopes. Guys, I like my Trail 2 LRF's form factor over that of the Thermion 2 LRF... it's easier for me to mount to a variety of firearms with Picatinny rails.
Please, get the update out for the Trail 2 LRF... thanks!

I'm shocked that a rifle scope manufacturing company does not understand hold under.
The suggested aiming point was above the horizontal line of the cross hair, therefore suggests I hold under @ 400yds. My current zero is 124 yards, so should be hold over. Suggest aiming point should be below the horizontal line.
I shut down my scope and restarted it which fixed the issue temporarily until it happened again.
