You can make the first cut on mushroom groge shroomless IF you drift and jump closer to the mushrooms

Considering it’s been almost a full day since the video came out you have probably allready figured this out but you can do starting cut on mushroom gorge without shrooms. Just drifting into a hop with the boost can get you there. I tried neutral hopping but I think you need the drift boost for it.
