- China's leader Xi Jinping has moved into a historic third term in power, as he revealed a new leadership team stacked with loyalists.
On Sunday the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) unveiled its Politburo Standing Committee, with Mr Xi re-elected as general secretary.
Observers say the line-up, handpicked by Mr Xi, shows he prizes loyalty over expertise and experience.
The unveiling came after a week-long party congress in the capital.

For China's economy to crash is pretty difficult, at least for the meantime, though the people would probably suffer, as is usual. I'm not gonna go in to much details cus it's a pain but tldr is that China has a lot of leverage on other countries just like the US does. The US owes a fock ton of money and their economy is in quite a sorry state, the reason it doesn't collapse tho is because they have leverage on other countries and that keeps them afloat, tho it's not really a forever thing, eventually it will burst like a bubble

After 71 years, in 2021 China life expectancy is 78.2 vs US 76.1( latest figure by CDC , US life expectancy dropped by 3 in 2020-2021 period from 79.1 originally). China expectancy increase by 40 years while US increase by 8 years only. China life expectancy increase 5 time faster than US.
Also Look at health care by comparing MMA rate( maternal mortality rate): in 1950 China maternal mortality is 1500 women death per 100,000 birth vs US 100 women death per 100,000 births. In 2021, China MMA is 16.1 vs US 23.8 per 100,000 (the lower the number , the better health care service level) .
Infant mortality rate: in 1950 China infant mortality is 195 death per 1000 birth vs US 26.8 death per 1000 births. In 2021, China infant mortality rate drop to 5 per 1000 vs US 5.4 per 1000 birth.
In fact among top 10 population countries, China’s life expectancy is longest 78.2 years old vs US 76.1 and India 70, Indonesia 71.7, Pakistan 67.3, Brazil 75.9, Nigeria 54.7, Bangladesh 72.6, Russia 73.1, Mexico 75.
Singapore is another example of one party system. Its gdp is highest among Asia.

But China aren't doing it in a way which is attractive to the world, they are oppressive. That will backfire eventually. China's economy is slowing down because other nations are moving their manufacturing out to other countries, mostly because they do not trust China.

If we use healthy competition to compete to make more contributions to make the world a better place, that is good for everyone. However, China does currently have some issues that make containment seem justified… China has a lot of territorial claims against many of their neighbors. The worry is that if China isn’t contained, they’ll escalate those claims and start bullying weaker nations if they think they have the power to get away with it.
If China renounces those claims and accepts their current internationally recognized borders, then their neighbors will lose interest in containing China. Until China stops behaving threateningly, their neighbors will act against them out of fear, and the USA will remain wary of what a Chinese dominated world would look like.
Ideally, there will come a day where there is no superpower nation and all nations operate within internationally decided laws with fair representation for the people of all nations. When that happens, we’ll see any nation prospering as a benefit to humanity and not as a threat to a vulnerable global stability.

The constant shift to elect new leaders is not necessarily a blessing If there is a responsible leader then let him or her lead the country through good times and bad times., and not blame the other party. Responsible leader is the word. What if you have an irresponsible leader? In an autocratic system no one critisizes the emperor and a wrong decisions can have devastating effects. The Chinese system only managed to lift millions out of poverty in the last 40 yrs because deng xiaoping introduced term limits and and leaders could focus on building the economy and not consolidaring power. Before deng xiaoping, china had mao tse tung and progress went no where for 30 years 😂

Women's position in politics may have moved backward the last couple decades, but in the business world (multinationals in particular) there are many Chinese women in managerial and leadership positions. The poor men in the countryside, not only are there more of them than women but many can't keep up with the few that are available. No wonder so many are going to SE Asia to find wives.
People have been getting mail order brides from Southeast Asia for centuries, including in times of civil war and famine. It’s hardly a sign of a healthy society.

Watching a country that was 88% below the UN poverty line in 1990 explode and bring 1/2 a billion people into middle & upper class has been an economic miracle. Noone lives forever, but hes ensured noone will ever be allowed to stand on the same level or surpass his absoloute control under constitutional law. Thats some collapse of the Soviet Union repeating itself, where it was loyalist vs "loyalist" when the leader died, because there is no opposition, its all internal, and anyone who comes next as leader will have to either be a bootlicker, or a bootlicker. The leader can never be an actual leader, they can only toe the line, or they are not a loyalist, in which case they will almost certainly just be killed and replaced with another bootlicker. Weve seen it before, China has set it up for themselves.
